‘Vanshaj’ is a show that narrates the compelling story of Yuvika Mahajan as she battles against traditional norms related to inheritance. Utkarsha Naik, playing the intelligent and influential political fixer Srishti Verma, enlivens the set by spontaneously infusing humor into her dialogues and script. In one memorable and humorous incident shared by Utkarsha, the entire cast and crew were left in stitches. The scene involved DJ’s mother, Gargi, who pretends to support the marriage of her daughter Miraya to the security guard Nikhil. During the wedding sequence, as part of a traditional norm, Miraya tosses a few grains of rice, and Srishti, her mother, is supposed to collect them in her pallu.
However, Utkarsha, always one to improvise, added a comical twist by picking up the grains scattered on the floor instead of in her pallu. This unexpected improvisation caused everyone on set, from the spot dada to the light man, to burst into laughter, injecting a moment of levity into the filming process.
Utkarsha’s ability to blend humor with her character’s negative traits not only adds depth to her role but also creates a joyful and engaging environment on set, making the show more enjoyable for both the cast and the crew.
