The Prime Minister made a surprise visit to Diljit ahead of the performance, which was captured in a video shared by the singer. The footage shows Trudeau and Diljit greeting each other warmly with folded hands and a hug, followed by a group photo with Diljit’s team, who enthusiastically chanted his famous line, “Punjabi Aa gaye oye (Punjabis are here).”

Diljit expressed his pride in the moment on Instagram, writing, “Diversity is Canada‘s strength.
