The romantic-comedy Param Sundari is already making waves as it marks the on-screen debut of Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra. Directed by Tushar Jalota and produced under Maddock Films, this love story promises a mix of humor, cultural contrasts, and heartfelt moments set against the picturesque backwaters of Kerala.
She plunges into her South Indian woman character, showing her devotion in training in Mohiniyattam, the dance form of Kerala inspired by the female form of Vishnu, the mythical form. She adds substance to the narrative because of her efforts to play the character convincingly while Sidharth Malhotra plays a North Indian man, sharing his charisma and energy in the story. It is rooted in a cultural divide but united by love. The chemistry between their characters forms the heart of the film.

Dinesh Vijan, film producer, talks about the latest release, calling Param Sundari reminiscent of Mani Ratnam-style films with a confluence of music, emotion and a contemporary spin, while at the same time it hinted to surpass a love story so one-sided like this and hinted towards having things from films that showed earthy and immersive worlds such as Kantara.
The motion poster leaves a tease: vibrant collision of cultures through a North Indian swag by Sidharth and graceful South Indian touch, Janhvi. Tag-line “North ka swag, South ki grace”: the tag does all it might to prepare this story for what this promises comedy, utter chaos, surprise twists. Going to release 25 July, 2025 Param Sundari sets to become much-awaited among followers of romantic relationships and culture stories.
