Box Office Tsunami! Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava shatters records with Rs. 33.10 crore opening

Vicky Kaushal’s latest historical drama ‘Chhaava’ got lucky with a dream start when it opened at the Indian Box Office with collections of ₹33.1 crore on day one of its release-the highest-ever opening collections for a Hindi historical film! It has crossed over ₹50 crore in collections at the overseas box office on day one of release, which reflects all the signs of a great box office performance.

Taking All First-Day Records for Historical Movies Down
Previously, the highest-grossing historical film, with Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh in the lead, was Padmaavat, with the figure shooting past ₹300 crore. However, what is really worth focusing on here is, while Padmaavat collected ₹24 crore on the first day, Chhaava seems to have beaten that mark with over ₹33 crore in collections, which is the largest opening till date in Vicky’s career.

Starting Off on a Path That Leads to Hit
Off of the set budget of ₹130 crore, ‘Chhaava’ got 20% return on investment already in the first day, and there is a large possibility that this could now go into the blockbuster vision. With a slightly better movie run on the first day, it further tilts the odds in favor of the film when it comes to collections from the box office.

Page Of Love And Emotion
Released on February 14, at once Chhaava found a bold audience, something apparently greatly egregious upon the emotional social fabric of couples. Sweet chemistry between Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna melted the hearts of many. The heartbreaking climax with Sambhaji and Yesubai turned out to be a tear-jerker for the people, and that moment made the entire sequence that much hard to erase from the movie.

With its giant stature combined, stellar performances, and a very moving emotional journey, Chhaava is all poised to fall in line as among the biggest blockbusters of the year.
