Janhvi Kapoor has finally made her Cannes debut at the glamorous Cannes Film Festival, becoming part of an expanding list of Indian stars that are making waves internationally this year. On Monday, Mouni Roy and Jacqueline Fernandez were among the stars who made their appearance, and Janhvi now followed suit as she rolled up to the French Riviera for Homebound’s premiere.
Homebound is a Hindi film directed by Neeraj Ghaywan and produced by Karan Johar, featuring Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khattar, and Vishal Jethwa in lead roles. The story of the movie is about two best friends who set out from their small village with a desire to become part of the police force. As they move closer to their aspirations, things get complicated, challenging their friendship and aspirations. Ishaan and Vishal portray the two friends, while Janhvi plays a significant character whose role adds depth to the emotionally charged narrative.

Janhvi’s Cannes appearance isn’t just about glamour — it’s a moment of professional pride as well. She is accompanied at the festival by producer Karan Johar, her sister Khushi Kapoor, and close friend Shikhar Pahadia, all of whom are there to support her milestone moment.
As far as her career is concerned, Janhvi Kapoor has been on a roll with some promising films in the pipeline. She will appear in two major Bollywood releases this year – Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari and Param Sundari. In addition to these, she is all set to make her South Indian film debut in Peddi which is scheduled for 2026.
