SMASHING DEBUT! Aryan Khan’s “The Ba***ds of Bollywood” references Shah Rukh Khan’s Mohabbatein

The first teaser for The Ba*ds Of Bollywood, Aryan Khan’s much-anticipated directorial debut, is finally here — and it’s just as bold, chaotic, and self-aware as its title promises.

The first teaser for The Ba*ds Of Bollywood, Aryan Khan’s much-anticipated directorial debut, is finally here — and it’s just as bold, chaotic, and self-aware as its title promises. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, the series blends satire, stylised action, and classic Bollywood drama with a modern, irreverent edge.

Aryan Steps Into the Frame

The teaser opens with Aryan himself, walking through a dreamy set while playing a violin. In a nod to his father Shah Rukh Khan, he recites an iconic line from Mohabbatein: “Ek ladki thi deewani si…” Just as the audience settles into the nostalgia, the tone sharply pivots — “Aur achanak ek truck aaya aur usse kuchal gaya,” he says, smirking. “Thoda zyaada ho gaya na? Aadat daal lo…”

Introducing the Chaos

The teaser then shifts gears, introducing lead actors Lakshya and Sahher Bambba in a whirlwind of quick cuts — romance, fight sequences, red carpet glamour, and full-blown masala mayhem. Aryan breaks the fourth wall again, teasing the show’s central theme: “Bollywood — jisse aapne saalon se pyaar bhi kiya aur vaar bhi.”

Dark Humour Meets High-Voltage Drama

Just as the teaser began with a jolt, it ends with one too — a truck hits Aryan, completing the loop in darkly comic fashion. Co-created by Bilal Siddiqi and Manav Chauhan, the series follows an outsider and his friends as they navigate the dazzling yet ruthless world of Bollywood.
