Selena Gomez has married long-time buddy and record producer Benny Blanco, announcing their union on a heartfelt post on Instagram. The image was of the couple kissing and embracing on a lawn, with Gomez putting simply, while Blanco followed up with, “My wife in real life.”
Gomez, 33, was dressed in a specially ordered white halter bridal dress featuring flower accents, while Blanco, 37, wore a traditional tuxedo and bow tie—both of which were designed by Ralph Lauren. The ceremony was held in the Santa Barbara region, where paparazzi had earlier seen a big outdoor tent and other hints of a celebratory atmosphere.
Celebrity colleagues and friends inundated the post with congratulatory messages and heart emojis. The Instagram handle for her Hulu series Only Murders in the Building posted, “Our Mabel is MARRIED,” while her Rare Beauty line added, “So happy for you two.” Camila Cabello, Amy Schumer, and several others sent them their good wishes.
Gomez and Blanco initially met almost ten years ago and co-wrote the 2019 single “I Can’t Get Enough,” featuring J Balvin and Tainy. They allegedly got engaged late last year after rediscovering their friendship in a relationship.
Blanco boasts a distinguished record in the music scene, accredited with writing and producing top hits like Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream,” Britney Spears’ “Circus,” and Maroon 5’s “Moves Like Jagger.”
