It’s official—Devara 2 is on the way! On September 27, the makers of Jr NTR’s blockbuster film Devara announced its much-anticipated sequel. Production banners Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts unveiled the news on social media with a striking new poster showing Jr NTR in an intense look, staring directly at the camera. The bold text on the poster reads: Devara 2.
In their post on X (formerly Twitter), the makers wrote, “It’s been one year since HAVOC struck the shores, trembling every coast… and the name the world remembers is #DEVARA. Be it the FEAR it unleashed or the LOVE it earned, the streets will never forget. Now gear up for #Devara2. Man of Masses @tarak9999. A #KoratalaSiva Film. An @anirudhofficial MUSICAL.”
Fans erupted with excitement, flooding the announcement with celebratory messages. Comments like “Part 2 should be mass” and “Time for Devara 2” quickly went viral. One emotional fan even wrote, “Abba Sai Ram, until yesterday I thought #Devara2 wasn’t happening.”
In an earlier interview with the Associated Press, Jr NTR confirmed that a few sequences for the sequel had already been shot. He emphasized the team’s dedication to making Part 2 even “bigger and better,” urging director Koratala Siva to take time to craft the story thoughtfully.
Devara: Part 1, starring Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan, follows a man’s sea-bound mission to protect his people. Upon its North American release, it outperformed Adam Driver’s Megalopolis at the box office and marked Jr NTR’s first solo film in six years since Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava (2018).
Jr NTR was last seen in War 2, alongside Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani, as part of YRF’s spy universe.
