&TV’s supernatural comedy Gharwali Pedwali is set to introduce a new character with the entry of actor Sapna Thakur, who joins the cast as Reeta Pandey. The character is expected to add a fresh emotional dimension to the ongoing narrative, which blends domestic drama with fantasy-driven humour.
According to the makers, Reeta Pandey is positioned as a composed and emotionally grounded presence within the story, offering a contrast to the show’s supernatural conflicts. Her introduction is woven into an existing family track, where her association with Jeetu and Saavi establishes her as a trusted and understanding figure rather than a disruptive entrant.
Speaking about her role, Sapna Thakur said she was drawn to the show’s concept and its balance of humour and emotion. She described Reeta as a modern yet relationship-oriented character, whose introduction focuses on warmth and emotional connection rather than heightened drama. The actor noted that the character’s entry sequence reflects Reeta’s nature and her role within the family structure.
Thakur also shared that she relates to several aspects of Reeta’s personality, describing the character as cheerful, emotionally aware, and adaptable. She added that comedy was a key factor in her decision to take on the role, along with the show’s fantasy elements, which she said allow for imaginative storytelling in a light-hearted format.
The actor further noted that Reeta’s presence is designed to bring emotional stability to the narrative amid its supernatural twists, representing everyday support systems and unspoken care found in real-life relationships. She also described her experience of working with the cast as positive, citing an energetic and collaborative atmosphere on set.
With this addition, Gharwali Pedwali continues to expand its character base while maintaining its blend of humour, fantasy, and family-driven storytelling.
