Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt was among the guests at the pre wedding celebrations of her close friend Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, who is set to marry filmmaker Sharan Sharma. A video from the celebration has surfaced online, showing Alia enjoying the event with family members and friends ahead of the wedding.
In the viral clip, Alia Bhatt is seen dancing to “Maahi Ve” from Shah Rukh Khan’s 2003 film Kal Ho Naa Ho. She was joined by Akansha’s sister Anushka Ranjan Kapoor and Anushka’s husband Aditya Seal during the performance. The video has attracted attention on social media, with fans sharing clips of the celebration.
For the occasion, Alia wore a purple saree that featured a modern draping style while maintaining the traditional look of the outfit. Her appearance at the celebration also reflected her long standing friendship with Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, with the two often seen together at personal and professional events.
According to reports, Akansha Ranjan Kapoor and Sharan Sharma have been in a relationship since 2022, although they chose to keep it private. Sharan Sharma is known for directing Mr. & Mrs Mahi, starring Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor. The couple are scheduled to get married on July 11 in the presence of close family members and friends. They have reportedly planned a larger reception on July 12.

Alia Bhatt was last seen in Alpha, directed by Shiv Rawail, which is the seventh film in the YRF Spy Universe. The movie also stars Sharvari, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol. According to the reported figures, the film has collected around ₹49 crore in 8 days at the box office. Alia will next be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. The film is scheduled to release in January next year.
