Rakesh Bedi, who is currently part of the successful films Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar: The Revenge, recently appeared on Farah Khan’s YouTube channel. The episode featured a casual food based video where the two spoke about their past experiences in the film industry.
During the conversation, Farah Khan shared some memories from her younger days. She spoke about how actors like Neena Gupta and others would visit Javed Akhtar’s house. She said, “FTII se yeh log roz aate the Javed uncle aur Honey aunty ke ghar free ka khaana aur free ki daaru peene, aate the vahan par toh we used to meet all of them (They used to come every day from FTII to Javed uncle and Honey aunty’s house for free food and free drinks, and that’s where we would meet all of them).”
She also mentioned that Farooq Shaikh, Satish Shah, Neena Gupta, and Supriya Pathak were part of these gatherings. “He used to come with Farooq Shaikh, Satish Shah, Neena Gupta and Supriya Pathak. Humari puraani dosti hai (We are old friends), but we are meeting after a very long time.” Farah added that she was 15 years old at the time, while Rakesh Bedi was 25.
At the same time, the Dhurandhar film series has been performing strongly at the box office. Led by Ranveer Singh, the first film released in December 2025 and earned around ₹1300 crore globally. It also received positive feedback from audiences and critics.
The sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, released in March 2026 and performed even better. It crossed ₹1100 crore in India and has collected over ₹1700 crore worldwide so far. The story is set in Pakistan during the early 2000s and follows an Indian spy working in the Lyari area while trying to stop terror activities.
The sequel also explores the background of Ranveer Singh’s character, Hamza, also known as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, while continuing the story with higher risks and challenges.
Despite new films like Bhooth Bangla releasing in theatres, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is still performing steadily even in its fourth week. The film also features actors like Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Akshaye Khanna in important roles.
