Rajinikanth has completed the shooting of his upcoming film Jailer 2, marking an important stage in the project. The team celebrated the occasion with a cake cutting ceremony attended by the cast and crew. Photos and videos from the event have appeared online, showing a relaxed and happy atmosphere on set.
The production house Sun Pictures shared images from the celebration on social media. The caption read, “Alapparai Kelappurom, Thalaivaru Nerandharam! It’s a wrap for #Jailer2.” Fans also shared their reactions online. One of the fans wrote, “Can’t wait.” Another wrote, “Yov Vasanth Ravi , Nee Enna Ya Inga.”
At the same time, the film has faced an issue after a video from the sets was leaked online before release. The clip is being circulated on social media, which has raised concern among the makers. In response, Sun Pictures released a statement requesting people not to share the video.
The statement said, “We would like to bring to your attention that a Video clip from the sets of ‘Jailer 2’ is currently being circulated on social media platforms. Our anti piracy team is actively monitoring the situation and will be taking necessary action to remove such content, including initiating measures against accounts involved in sharing or promoting these clips.”
It further added, “We kindly request members of the media and fans club to refrain from using, sharing, or reposting this video, in order to avoid any potential suspension or restrictions on their accounts. Please note that the production will not be held responsible for any such actions taken or to retrieve the accounts.”
This is the second such incident in a month in the Tamil film industry. Earlier, a video from Jana Nayagan, starring Thalapathy Vijay, was also leaked online.
Following that incident, legal action was taken by KVN Productions LLP. The team issued a public notice warning against sharing any leaked material. Reports stated that eight people and a freelance assistant editor were arrested in that case.
Jailer 2 has attracted attention due to the success of its first part, which earned around Rs 650 crores. The shooting of the sequel began in Chennai on March 10 this year.
