Bhooth Bangla Continues Strong Box Office Run As Akshay Kumar Scores Major Hit

Bhooth Bangla earned Rs. 153.45 crore in India and is expected to cross the Rs. 160 crore mark during its fifth week in cinemas.

Bhooth Bangla continued its steady run at the Indian box office by earning around Rs. 1 crore on its fourth Wednesday. The film recorded a 10 per cent drop from its Monday collection, while its fourth week total reached Rs. 11.45 crore in 6 days.

The movie’s overall India nett collection now stands at Rs. 153.45 crore. Trade estimates suggest the film could close its fourth week with around Rs. 154.45 crore. Directed by Priyadarshan, the horror comedy is expected to cross the Rs. 160 crore nett mark during its fifth week in cinemas.

Industry projections currently place the film’s lifetime India collection close to the Rs. 165 crore nett mark if the movie continues to hold steady in the coming weeks.

The film’s performance is also important for Akshay Kumar, who has faced a difficult period at the box office after the pandemic with several films underperforming commercially. Although three of his releases last year managed decent business, none reached HIT status. Bhooth Bangla has now emerged as a clear commercial success for the actor.

Akshay Kumar is known for maintaining a high number of film releases every year compared to many other leading Bollywood actors. Industry discussions often point out that frequent releases by stars help keep cinema business active throughout the year.

Trade experts have also highlighted that the Indian box office continues to remain heavily star driven. Regular releases from established actors are considered important for maintaining audience interest and theatre footfall across the country.

Among current leading actors, Ajay Devgn is also recognised for maintaining a consistent release pattern, while many stars now take longer gaps between projects.

The box office collections for Bhooth Bangla in India so far are as follows:

Week One collected Rs. 80.25 crore.
Week Two collected Rs. 40.75 crore.
Week Three collected Rs. 21.00 crore.

Fourth Friday earned Rs. 1.50 crore.
Fourth Saturday earned Rs. 2.75 crore.
Fourth Sunday earned Rs. 3.75 crore.
Fourth Monday earned Rs. 1.10 crore.
Fourth Tuesday earned Rs. 1.35 crore.

The film’s total collection currently stands at Rs. 153.45 crore.
