Kanye West Faces Sexual Assault Lawsuit Over 2010 Shoot As Model Jennifer An Speaks Out

Jennifer An has once again spoken about her allegations against Kanye West from a 2010 video shoot as their ongoing legal dispute remains unresolved.

More than a decade after an alleged incident on a music video set, actor and model Jennifer An has once again spoken publicly about her claims against rapper Kanye West. The former contestant on America’s Next Top Model recently discussed the allegations during an appearance on the BBC podcast Fame Under Fire. Her comments come as a lawsuit she filed against West in 2024 continues to move through the legal system.

According to An, the incident took place in 2010 while filming a music video connected to La Roux’s song In For The Kill. She claimed that she was asked to sit in front of a camera without being given clear instructions about what would happen next. An said she was confused about the scene and did not know what was expected of her during filming.

The model alleged that West then approached her and engaged in actions that left her feeling shocked and uncomfortable. Speaking on the podcast, An claimed the situation quickly became distressing and that she felt frightened and unable to react. She said she expected someone from the production team to step in and stop the scene, but according to her account, filming continued.

An also alleged that she felt uneasy throughout the interaction because of West’s behaviour on set. She recalled feeling concerned about how the footage might be used and worried about the possibility of her family seeing it. According to An, she later raised those concerns with singer Elly Jackson of La Roux and was reassured that the footage would not be publicly shared.

The allegations were later included in a lawsuit filed by An in 2024 in a federal court in New York. According to reports, the lawsuit claims that West unexpectedly took control of parts of the production and selected An for the scene. The complaint also includes several additional allegations regarding what happened during filming.

West has denied wrongdoing through his legal team. According to court filings cited in media reports, his lawyers have argued that the filmed sequence was part of a planned artistic performance. The defence reportedly claims that the scene was intended to recreate a moment inspired by the film American Psycho and should not be viewed as misconduct.

The case has not yet gone to trial, and no court has ruled on the allegations. Legal proceedings are ongoing, and the claims made by Jennifer An remain allegations that have not been proven in court.
