Ye’s (Kanye West) India concert cancelled

Ye’s debut India concert in Delhi scheduled for May 23 has been cancelled due to security directives. Organisers confirm full refunds for ticket holders

Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, will no longer be performing in India this month as his much-awaited debut concert in the country has officially been cancelled. The rapper was scheduled to perform in Delhi on May 23, 2026. The announcement was made by White Fox, the global entertainment company behind the event, which cited security advisories and directives issued by government and law enforcement authorities as the reason behind the cancellation.

In an official statement released on Friday, the organisers said, “We are deeply disheartened to announce that Ye Live in India, scheduled for 23rd May 2026 in New Delhi, will not be able to proceed due to directives issued by officials.”

The company added that the event had been in the works for months and was expected to be among the biggest live productions ever staged in the country. However, the organisers stressed that safety remained the top priority. “After months of planning and preparation for what was set to be one of the largest live productions ever staged in India, the safety and well-being of attendees and the citizens of India remain our highest priority during this sensitive time,” the statement added.

White Fox also thanked fans, partners, crew members and supporters who had backed the concert since its announcement. The cancellation has come as a major disappointment for Indian fans who were hoping to witness Ye perform live in the country for the very first time.

The organisers have confirmed that all ticket holders will receive complete refunds. “Full refunds will be issued to all valid ticket holders who purchased through the official ticketing partner, District, within 5-7 business days,” the statement continued.

At the same time, White Fox revealed that discussions are already underway with Ye’s team to explore the possibility of rescheduling the concert. “We are currently working with the artist’s team to secure a new date and venue,” the organisers said.

Widely regarded as one of the most influential hip-hop artists of all time, Ye has shaped global music culture with acclaimed albums such as The College Dropout, Graduation, 808s & Heartbreak and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Some of his most iconic tracks include Through the Wire, Stronger, Heartless and Runaway.

Over the years, his influence has extended across generations of artists, with names like Travis Scott, Drake and Juice WRLD often citing his impact on modern hip-hop.

Most recently, Ye released his studio album Bully on March 28, featuring collaborations with Travis Scott, CeeLo Green and Andre Troutman.

While the cancellation has left fans disappointed, the possibility of a rescheduled show has kept hopes alive for Ye’s long-awaited India debut.
