Ever since Tamil superstar Vijay became the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, social media has been full of comparisons between him and Telugu actor turned politician Pawan Kalyan, who is currently serving as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Many fans and political supporters started asking why Pawan could not achieve the same political success in Andhra Pradesh on his own. Now, Pawan has finally reacted to these comparisons in his own style.
While speaking to party workers at the Jana Sena Party headquarters in Mangalagiri, Pawan said people have been putting pressure on him ever since the Tamil Nadu election results. Without directly taking Vijay’s name, he said that after an actor from the neighbouring state became Chief Minister, many people started messaging him saying he should have done the same in Andhra Pradesh.
Pawan explained that the political situation in Andhra Pradesh is completely different from Tamil Nadu. Using a popular Telugu saying, he compared the excitement around these comparisons to children getting overly excited at someone else’s wedding without understanding the real situation. He reminded everyone that he had already contested elections in 2019 and faced many struggles. He also pointed out that even some ministers did not stand by him at that time. Because of this, he asked people not to compare his political journey with anyone else’s.
At the same time, Chiranjeevi had a warm and friendly phone conversation with Vijay. According to a statement released by Chiranjeevi’s team, the Megastar congratulated Vijay on becoming the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and wished him success in serving the people. Chiranjeevi also said he hoped Vijay would earn the same love and respect from the public as legendary leader M. G. Ramachandran.
The statement also revealed that Vijay recently watched Chiranjeevi’s film Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu and enjoyed seeing him on screen again. Vijay also thanked Chiranjeevi for supporting him during the piracy issue related to his upcoming film Jana Nayagan. He also wished Chiranjeevi success for his future projects.
On the work front, Pawan Kalyan was last seen in Ustaad Bhagat Singh and has another film with Surender Reddy coming soon. Chiranjeevi also has several films lined up, including Vishwambhara. Meanwhile, Vijay was last seen in The Greatest of All Time and is currently waiting for the release clearance of Jana Nayagan.
