Bhai Tera Star Hai has begun its theatrical journey with a slow start at the Indian box office. The film, which marks Raghav Juyal’s first movie as a solo lead, was released in cinemas on July 30, 2026. However, its opening day collections have fallen below expectations. Along with a limited opening, the film has also received mostly negative reviews, making its box office journey more challenging in the coming days.
According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Bhai Tera Star Hai earned around Rs 25 lakh on its first day. The opening is considered modest, especially for a film carrying a reported production budget of Rs 15 to 25 crore. Even if the lower end of the reported budget is taken into account, the opening day business remains below expectations. Trade observers believe the film ideally needed an opening of around Rs 1 crore or more to build stronger momentum during its first weekend. With weak initial collections and mixed audience response, the film will now depend heavily on positive word of mouth to improve its performance over the next few days.
Another factor affecting the film’s opening was its release alongside Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which recorded a historic opening at the Indian box office and attracted a large share of cinema audiences. The strong performance of the Hollywood blockbuster reduced the number of viewers available for other new releases, making the competition particularly difficult for smaller films. As a result, Bhai Tera Star Hai struggled to attract audiences on its opening day.
The film tells the story of an actor whose life takes an unexpected turn after he loses money in a cricket betting racket. He is given just one night to repay a dangerous gangster, setting off a chain of events filled with confusion and suspense. A lie involving his sister creates a series of misunderstandings that quickly spiral out of control. What follows is a mix of a failed robbery, gangsters chasing him, police involvement and a frantic race across London as he tries to escape trouble and save himself before time runs out.
Apart from Raghav Juyal, the film also stars Sanjay Kapoor and Niharika NM in important roles. The film blends comedy, crime and action while following a fast paced storyline set against the backdrop of London. Despite an interesting premise, the film has struggled to make an impact at the box office during its opening day. The coming weekend will now be important in determining whether Bhai Tera Star Hai can improve its collections through audience support or continue to face difficulties amid strong competition and mixed reviews.
