The film recorded these numbers across 3,504 shows on Friday. The Tamil version was the biggest contributor to the opening day collections, earning Rs 2.60 crore net. The Hindi version collected Rs 25 lakh, with the rest of the earnings coming from other versions and markets.
The opening day numbers give DC a starting point, but the weekend will be important for the film. Saturday and Sunday collections will show whether the movie can maintain interest among audiences and improve its business after the first day. The official budget of DC has not been announced. However, according to a KoiMoi report, the film was reportedly made for around Rs 25 crore.
