AR Rahman’s Son AR Ameen Escapes Major Injury After Porsche Collides With Another Car

AR Rahman’s son AR Ameen was involved in a car accident in Chennai on August 10. He and his friend suffered minor injuries and were later discharged.

AR Rahman’s son and singer AR Ameen was involved in a car accident in Chennai during the early hours of Monday, August 10. The incident reportedly happened around 3.30 am near the Olympia Tech Park signal in Guindy. Ameen was travelling with a friend when his Porsche collided with another vehicle. Thankfully, there were no major casualties, and Ameen and his friend suffered only minor injuries.

According to a Times of India report, Ameen was travelling from Koyambedu towards the city when the accident happened. His Porsche reportedly collided with a Wagon R near the busy Kathipara flyover. Police said the accident may have happened after the Wagon R entered the main road from a side road and collided with Ameen’s car.

Following the accident, Ameen and his friend were taken to Kauvery Hospital for medical treatment. They were later discharged from the hospital after receiving treatment for their injuries. The person travelling in the Wagon R was also injured and was taken to the Kalaignar Centenary Super Speciality Hospital. The occupants of that vehicle were also later discharged.

The two vehicles involved in the accident have been taken into custody by the Adyar Traffic Investigation Wing. Police have also registered a case and are investigating the incident. Further details about the exact circumstances of the collision are expected to emerge as the investigation continues.

AR Ameen has been developing his own career in music while also working alongside his father. He made his playback singing debut in 2015 with Mani Ratnam’s O Kadhal Kanmani. He sang the song Maula Salli Wasallim for the film.

Over the years, Ameen has worked in different languages and explored various types of music. He has also performed with AR Rahman during his international concert tours.

More recently, Ameen lent his voice to the Tamil version of Chikiri Chikiri from Ram Charan’s upcoming film Peddi. He also worked with singer Jasleen Royal on the independent song Bheegi Bheegi. The music video featured actors Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur.

Meanwhile, AR Rahman continues to work on several major projects. He is composing music for Nitesh Tiwari’s two part epic Ramayana: Part 1 and 2.

The composer has also worked on the upcoming film Batwara 1947, which stars Preity Zinta and Sunny Deol.
