Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt are taking their collaboration to the international stage with the upcoming action film 7 Dogs. The film stars Egyptian actors Ahmed Ezz and Karim Abdel Aziz in the lead roles and also features international stars Monica Bellucci and Giancarlo Esposito. The film will be released in Hindi and English across Indian cinemas on August 21.
7 Dogs is produced by Sela Studios with support from the General Entertainment Authority and Riyadh Season. The film is directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, the filmmaking duo known for directing Bad Boys for Life and Bad Boys: Ride or Die. The project has been conceived and co written by Turki Alalshikh.
The film brings together actors and filmmakers from several parts of the world. The cast includes talent from India, Egypt, Europe, Hollywood and the Middle East, making 7 Dogs a major international production. Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt represent India, while Ahmed Ezz and Karim Abdel Aziz lead the film from Egypt.
Monica Bellucci and Giancarlo Esposito are among the other prominent international actors in the cast. Tara Emad, Nasser Al Qasabi and Max Huang are also part of the film.
The action sequences are another major part of the project. The combat and stunt work was developed with the involvement of 87Eleven, the action and stunt company associated with the John Wick franchise. Veteran stunt designer Stephen Dunlevy, whose credits include Mad Max: Fury Road and John Wick, has led the action and stunt design for the film.
Directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah spoke about the international nature of the project and its release in India. They said, “7 Dogs has always been a truly international film for us. Ahmed and Karim are the heart of the story, and they brought incredible energy to these characters. Around them, we had the opportunity to work with extraordinary performers from different parts of the world, including Monica, Giancarlo, Salman and Sanjay. That combination is what makes the film so special. We are thrilled that audiences in India will now get to experience 7 Dogs on the big screen.”
With actors and filmmakers from different countries coming together, 7 Dogs marks a cross border collaboration between Indian, Egyptian, European, Hollywood and Middle Eastern talent. The film is scheduled to release in Indian cinemas on August 21 in both Hindi and English.
