Crawlers Trailer: Terrifying Spider Infestation Traps Apartment Residents In Horror Thriller

The Crawlers trailer introduces a terrifying spider infestation that traps apartment residents under quarantine as they struggle to survive the growing threat.

Roadside Attractions and Saban Films have released the trailer for Crawlers, an upcoming horror thriller centred on a terrifying spider infestation. The film comes from director Ángel Gómez Hernández, who previously worked on The Boogeyman and episodes of Tecnofobia. Crawlers follows the residents of an apartment building that is placed under a police mandated quarantine after a dangerous infestation begins spreading through the property. With no easy way to escape, the residents must find a way to survive as the creatures continue to multiply.

Matilda Lutz plays Serena, the building manager who becomes one of the central characters in the fight for survival. Serena knows the apartment complex better than anyone, which could make her the residents’ best chance of staying alive. However, she must also deal with her own fears while trying to protect the people trapped inside.

The film’s official synopsis reads: “Trapped inside by a police-mandated quarantine, building manager Serena (Matilda Lutz) and her residents battle to survive as the creatures multiply by the second. Armed with her intimate knowledge of the complex, Serena may be the only one who can keep them alive—if she can confront her deepest fear.”

The movie is the first project from Badlands, a new production collaboration involving John Wick producers Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee, along with Scott Strauss.

Ángel Gómez Hernández has directed the film from a screenplay written by Jayson Rothwell. The project is produced by Scott Strauss, Peter Welter, Jayson Rothwell, Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, Josh Weinstock and Alexandra Milchan. The film was previously known by the title Arachnid.

Crawlers adds another creature focused horror story to this year’s release calendar. The film follows other recent projects that have placed dangerous creatures at the centre of their stories, including The Devil’s Mouth, which featured teenagers facing killer sharks.

The movie is scheduled to arrive in theatres on October 16, 2026. With its apartment setting, quarantine storyline and growing spider infestation, Crawlers puts an ordinary residential building at the centre of a survival horror story.
