Influencer and content creator Tarini Peshawaria recently shared her honest experience of attending the famous Cannes Film Festival and surprised many people with her revelations. While the festival is usually seen as a place full of glamour, luxury fashion, and celebrity moments, Tarini explained that the reality behind the scenes can feel very different.
In a video posted on Instagram, Tarini spoke about attending Cannes four years ago and described how overwhelming the entire experience was. She said the red carpet moment that looks grand in photos and videos is actually very short in real life. According to her, walking the red carpet lasts only one or two minutes. She also explained that not every red carpet appearance gets the same level of attention or importance.
Tarini recalled how the atmosphere completely changed when major celebrities arrived. She mentioned that actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had massive attention on the red carpet and everyone focused on her appearance. Soon after, Hollywood star Tom Cruise arrived, and security became extremely strict. Tarini revealed that no one else was allowed on the carpet for around 10 minutes because of the actor’s arrival.
One of the biggest surprises from her story was the amount of money influencers sometimes spend at such international events. Tarini revealed that influencers often hire photographers themselves to get high quality pictures and videos. She shared that she paid around 400 euros, which is nearly ₹45,000, for just seven videos and seven photos. Her statement gave people a glimpse into the hidden expenses behind influencer appearances at global events.
Tarini also stayed at the luxurious Hotel Martinez during the trip, which was sponsored by L’Oréal. Even though she was surrounded by celebrities and luxury, she admitted she often felt like she did not belong there because she attended without a professional team. She also remembered how designer Manish Malhotra kindly sent someone from his team to help her drape a saree when she struggled alone.
Despite all the glamour and excitement, Tarini said the strongest feeling she carried back from Cannes was self doubt and vulnerability. She admitted that even today, she is still unsure whether she truly belonged in that world.
