Navya Naveli Nanda, the granddaughter of Bollywood legends Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, has embarked on an exciting new chapter in her life by joining the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Ahmedabad to pursue the BPGP MBA program. Navya, who is the daughter of Shweta Bachchan and Nikhil Nanda, shared her enthusiasm on Instagram by posting a series of pictures from the prestigious campus. In her post, she expressed her excitement about beginning this new journey, writing, “Dreams do come true !!!!!! Home for the next 2 years… with the best people & faculty! BPGP MBA Class of 2026.”

The first image in her post shows Navya confidently standing beside the iconic IIM Ahmedabad sign, dressed in a sleek black suit.

She also included photos of the lush green campus and snapshots with her new friends, indicating that she’s already settling in well. Additionally, Navya shared an Instagram story featuring a picture of herself cutting a celebratory cake, thanking her teacher, Prasad, for helping her prepare for the CAT/IAT entrance exams that paved her way to IIM.

Navya is no stranger to the public eye, but she has chosen a different path from her famous family. Despite having a background steeped in Bollywood, Navya has made it clear that acting is not on her agenda. She previously hosted a podcast called “What The Hell Navya” alongside her grandmother Jaya Bachchan and her mother Shweta Bachchan, where they discussed topics like feminism and the roles of women in society.

Shweta Bachchan has also emphasized that Navya is more interested in pursuing a career in business rather than acting, aligning with her family’s business heritage. At an event in June, when asked about Navya’s career aspirations, Shweta stated, “I think you are very well acquainted with the work Navya does and she has her hands full. I don’t think Bollywood is the way to go for her.” Shweta accepted an award on behalf of Navya for their podcast during the event, further highlighting Navya’s focus on her chosen path.

Navya herself has spoken about her decision, noting that she comes from a business family and realized by the end of her college years that this was the direction she wanted to pursue. Her enrollment in IIM Ahmedabad marks a significant step in her commitment to forging her own identity in the business world.
