After the success of Housefull 4, producer Sajid Nadiadwala teams up with Akshay Kumar once again for the much-anticipated Housefull 5, directed by Tarun Mansukhani. Akshay Kumar and Fardeen Khan will share the screen after 17 years, last appearing together in Heyy Babyy. The pre-production for Housefull 5 is in full swing, with a start-to-finish schedule set to begin in late August. Filming will take place in London and on an actual cruise.
Nadiadwala has confirmed a star-studded cast that includes Riteish Deshmukh, Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, and Nana Patekar alongside Akshay Kumar. The casting process is still ongoing, with Fardeen Khan confirmed to play a pivotal role, according to Pinkvilla sources.
A source close to the development revealed, “After Heyy Babyy, the trio of Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, and Sajid Nadiadwala is reuniting for Housefull 5. Fardeen is excited to work with Akshay again after their upcoming release, Khel Khel Mein.”
The casting for the female leads is yet to be finalized, with the makers aiming to bring top mainstream actresses on board for this comedic venture. Housefull 5 promises a fresh take on the franchise with a storyline centered around a cruise ship. “It’s a comic thriller, where one episode brings the house down inside a cruise. The idea is to introduce a new flavor of comedy with Housefull 5,” the source added.
Filming for Housefull 5 will start in August 2024 and continue until November 2024. The movie is set to release in theaters on June 6, 2025. Before beginning work on Housefull 5, Akshay Kumar will complete a 20-day schedule for Welcome To The Jungle in Mumbai and Kashmir.
