“King,” an upcoming action-packed thriller directed by Sujoy Ghosh and produced under Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment along with Siddharth Anand’s Marflix, will mark the first collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter Suhana Khan. The film also stars Abhishek Bachchan as the antagonist and has recently cast Abhay Verma, known for his performance in “Munjya,” in a pivotal role.
The production team has finalized the script and identified shooting locations both in India and abroad, aiming to begin filming in November 2024.
“King” will showcase Shah Rukh Khan in a rugged action role, emphasizing a mentor-protégé dynamic with Suhana Khan’s character.
The film’s music and background score will be composed by Anirudh, with top-tier talent onboard for the action sequences.
Shah Rukh Khan, renowned for his charisma and humility, recently received praise from veteran film journalist Roshmila Bhattacharya for a kind gesture he extended to her in the ’90s. During an interview on the YouTube channel “Inconversation with Ishan,” Bhattacharya recounted how, after realizing she had missed her last bus home from Film City to Vashi a distance of over 37 kilometers Shah Rukh insisted his driver take her home safely.
Despite her concerns about the inconvenience, Shah Rukh assured her, emphasizing his willingness to help.
