The release of Kalki 2898 AD has sparked significant debate among movie enthusiasts, with opinions sharply divided on its merits. While some hailed the epic science fiction film as a masterpiece, others were less impressed, feeling that Amitabh Bachchan’s portrayal of Ashwatthama was the film’s only redeeming feature. Among the critics is actor Arshad Warsi, who, in a recent interview, praised Amitabh Bachchan, calling him “unbelievable, unreal.” However, Warsi expressed disappointment with how Prabhas was portrayed in the film, bluntly stating that Prabhas came across as a “joker,” a remark that didn’t sit well with many, including Telugu actor Nani.

Nani responded strongly to Warsi’s comment, implying that Warsi was seeking attention and suggesting that this might be the most publicity Warsi has received in his career. This remark led to a significant backlash from Warsi’s fans, who quickly took to social media to defend the actor. Many of them compared Nani’s entire career unfavorably to Warsi’s iconic roles, particularly his beloved character Circuit from Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. (2003).

One social media user commented, “I like Nani as an actor but this statement is just very stupid and arrogant also Arshad Warsi as Circuit in Munna Bhai > whole career of Nani.” Another fan echoed similar sentiments, writing, “Only Arshad ‘Circuit’ character is greater than entire career of #Prabhas and #Nani. Rest, if I include Arshad performances in Dhamaal, Hulchul, Golmaal, or Jolly LLB, then Nani will consider retiring.”

The exchange has clearly ignited strong emotions on both sides, with fans of both actors passionately defending their favorites. The incident highlights the sensitivity surrounding film criticism and how quickly such comments can escalate into larger public debates.
