Nargis Fakhri, sister of Bollywood star Aliya Fakhri, has been arrested in Queens, New York. She has been indicted on multiple counts of murder and arson for allegedly setting a detached garage ablaze, resulting in the deaths of her ex-boyfriend, Edward Jacobs, aged 35, and his friend, Anastasia Ettienne, aged 33.

Details of reports suggest that on November 2, after making threats to Jacobs, Aliya set the garage on fire. One of the witnesses said she was heard yelling, “You’re all going to die today.” Jacobs, sleeping upstairs, became trapped when the fire engulfed the building. In a release by Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz, there was a report that Ettienne had escaped following Jacobs, which led them both to stay in the house, and both died as a result of smoke inhalation and thermal injuries.

Arson in the first and second degrees
