As per Peepingmoon.com , Saif Ali Khan is set to take on the iconic role of a blind man suspected of committing murder in the Hindi remake of Priyadarshan’s 2016 blockbuster, Oppam. According to sources, Saif is in advanced talks with the Malayalam filmmaker and has committed to the project, with plans to start filming immediately if everything falls into place.

The original film starred Mohanlal in the lead role, and Saif will step into his shoes to play the complex character. Priyadarshan has made cultural changes to the story to appeal to Hindi-speaking audiences, primarily in the film’s first half. The revamped script is currently being finalized, with production aimed to start in July and wrap up by September 2024.

Bobby Deol has been approached for the antagonist’s role, but has not yet given his consent. The film’s schedule has been slotted in after Saif’s Junglee Pictures movie “Click Shankar” was postponed by a few months. Meanwhile, Priyadarshan is also working on a horror comedy with Akshay Kumar, set to begin shooting around November or December.

This project marks an exciting collaboration between Saif Ali Khan and Priyadarshan, known for his work on films like Oppam and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. With Saif’s versatility as an actor and Priyadarshan’s expertise in crafting thrillers, this remake promises to be a gripping and intense cinematic experience. Stay tuned for more updates!
