Varun Dhawan’s upcoming film Baby John has been creating a buzz since its announcement. Directed by A. Kaleeswaran and produced by Atlee, Murad Khetani, and Jyoti Deshpande under Jio Studios, Cine1 Studios, and A for Apple Productions, Baby John is the official Hindi remake of Atlee’s Tamil hit Theri.
Recently, a new video clip was released, showcasing Varun in an intense, fierce avatar. In this short clip, his reflection appears on a blood-streaked axe, offering a glimpse into the gritty action thriller and hinting at Varun’s powerful character.
The video, captioned “Taster Cut Coming Soon. Baby John,” announced the teaser release, with the post reading, “Are you REAAAAADDDDY? Don’t miss the exclusive #BabyJohnTasterCut, only in theaters from 1st November.” Janhvi Kapoor responded to the post with fire emojis, capturing the enthusiasm around the film. The teaser for this mass-action entertainer has received a U/A certification from the CBFC and will debut alongside Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 on November 1, 2024, just in time for Diwali. With a 2-minute runtime, the teaser promises to showcase thrilling action and drama.
Earlier in February, Varun shared a poster of his look in the film, where he sports a half ponytail, wearing a black vest, and exudes a menacing look while posed against a mythological figure, likely hinting at the film’s main antagonist. His caption read, “Hold on tight; the ride is about to get wild. #BabyJohn is coming to your nearest theatres on May 31st!”
In addition to Varun, Baby John features Keerthy Suresh in her Bollywood debut, along with Wamiqa Gabbi, Rajpal Yadav and Jackie Shroff in key roles. Salman Khan is expected to make a cameo as a senior cop and mentor to Varun’s character, adding to the film’s star power.
