The Devil Wears Prada 2 has hit theatres and is already getting good reviews while doing well at the box office. Fans are excited to see the return of their favourite characters, especially Anne Hathaway as Andy Sachs. But even with all the success, Anne recently shared that there is one small thing she feels disappointed about.
In a recent interview with people, Anne revealed that her favourite fashion look from the film did not make it into the final version. She said that the outfit was very special to her, but director David Frankel informed her that the scene featuring it had been removed. She even got the news before watching the movie herself.
Talking about the outfit, Anne described it as a unique and stylish piece designed by Phoebe Philo. She called it more of a “garment” than just a regular outfit and said she loved it a lot. Even though the scene was cut, fans still got to see the look because paparazzi clicked her pictures while she was filming in New York in 2025.
The outfit was simple yet eye catching. It included an oversized white T shirt with a long flowing train, paired with loose white trousers from Nili Lotan. She completed the look with white heels from Prada, black sunglasses, a chunky silver necklace, and a stylish black bag from Coach. Even though it did not appear in the film, it still caught the attention of fashion lovers.
The movie is set almost 20 years after the original and shows Andy Sachs as a successful journalist in New York. Her life takes a turn when she reconnects with her former boss Miranda Priestly, bringing their story full circle.
Anne also spoke about how her character has changed over the years. She explained that Andy is now more confident and focused on being herself, unlike before when she tried hard to impress others.
Even though her favourite look was cut, Anne recently surprised fans by bringing back one of Andy’s iconic outfits from the original film during her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
