Barbara Palvin and Dylan Sprouse are officially preparing for their next chapter together as parents. The couple revealed on Instagram that they are expecting their first child, shortly after making a glamorous appearance at the Cannes Film Festival, where Palvin debuted her baby bump for the first time. Palvin wore a flowing baby blue gown while posing beside Sprouse at Hotel Martinez during the festival. The model could be seen cradling her bump as photographers captured the couple’s red carpet moment.
Soon after the appearance, the pair confirmed the news with a joint Instagram post featuring photos from Cannes along with a sonogram image of their baby. In the ultrasound photo, the baby appeared to make a “rock on” hand gesture, which both parents mirrored in another picture.
The caption simply read: “🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼.”
The couple first met in 2017 after a memorable interaction at an event. According to their previous interview with Vogue, Palvin cut in front of Sprouse in line, prompting him to jokingly call her out.
“What are you, a hot-dog vendor?” she reportedly replied.
Although they spoke at the event, they did not exchange phone numbers immediately. Sprouse later sent her a direct message, but Palvin admitted she ignored him for six months before eventually reconnecting. Their first official date later took place in China.
The pair moved in together in 2019 before Sprouse proposed during a camping trip in California in September 2022.
“It was very romantic,” Palvin previously shared. “I was suspicious because he packed a shirt that was too nice for camping.”
The couple married on July 15, 2023, in Palvin’s home country of Hungary. The ceremony took place on her family’s property, which also functions as a wedding venue.
For the wedding ceremony, Palvin wore a gown by Vivienne Westwood before changing into a custom Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini dress for the reception. She later honored Hungarian tradition by wearing a red menyecske dress designed by Mero.
Over the years, the couple has frequently supported each other publicly, attending premieres, fashion events, and red carpets together. Sprouse has also been a regular presence at Palvin’s modeling events, including the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
Now, after years of sharing milestones together, the longtime couple is preparing to welcome their first child.
