According to reports based on court documents, Shenker was involved in a disagreement with the court appointed guardian managing her father Marc Shenker’s finances. The dispute focused largely on access to financial information and decisions surrounding his New York property.
The guardianship had reportedly been established in 2022, placing control of Marc Shenker’s financial matters in the hands of a legal guardian. In such arrangements, guardians are typically responsible for making financial and personal decisions when an individual is deemed unable to manage those responsibilities independently.
Jade Shenker challenged the level of transparency provided by the guardian, arguing that she had a right to access certain financial records and be more involved in the decision making process. The guardian, however, maintained that not all requested information needed to be shared.
