Variety has confirmed the news with sources that Lady Gaga will be visiting Wednesday in its second season. The cast are staying tight-lipped about the singer-actor’s role, but insiders suggest she will briefly feature in the second season of the hit Netflix show, which is currently filming in Ireland. Now, per sources, the production team had actually wanted Gaga in a bigger role for Season 2, but those efforts did not come to fruition.

The role will mark Gaga’s acting debut after years of being synonymous with a groundbreaking music career. Recently, she shared the screen with Joaquin Phoenix in Joker: Folie à Deux*. During A Star Is Born, she shared a best actor Oscar nomination with Bradley Cooper. She has three best original song nominations (and one win) for A Star Is Born and Top Gun: Maverick’s “Hold My Hand.” Other acting credits include House of Gucci and American Horror Story (in different seasons) for Gaga.

After a scene featuring a dance from Wednesday Episode 4 went viral on TikTok, set to a remix of Gaga’s “Bloody Mary,” star Jenna Ortega told Variety last year that she was sure Netflix would “totally” want the Goddess of Pop for Season 2.

Ortega will reprise her role as Wednesday Addams in the second season of the hit series, along with Luis Guzmán, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Luis Zeta-Jones, and Catherine Zeta-Jones being promoted to series regulars.

Ordonez and Guzmán as Pugsley and Gomez, respectively, while Zeta-Jones stars alongside him as Morticia. Special guest stars include Fred Armisen and Jamie McShane, while series regulars Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Hunter Doohan, Victor Dorobantu, Moosa Mostafa, and Georgie Farmer are back. Other new series regulars include Noah Taylor, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, Steve Buscemi, and Billie Piper. The guest stars include Thandiwe Newton, Christopher Lloyd, and Haley Joel Osment.

When Wednesday debuted on Netflix in November 2022, it was an instant smash. The series has received 12 Emmy nominations, of which it won four Emmys, and it is the streaming service’s most-watched English-language program ever. Production on Season 2 was delayed due to the Hollywood writers’ and actors’ strikes in 2023.
