Ananya Panday is all set to captivate audiences with her digital debut in the upcoming web series “Call Me Bae,” which has generated significant buzz. The series, set to premiere on Prime Video on September 6, 2024, recently unveiled its first-look poster featuring Ananya in a glamorous and stylish avatar. The trailer is scheduled to drop on August 20, building anticipation for the show.

In “Call Me Bae,” Ananya stars as Bella “Bae” Chowdhary, a South Delhi socialite who faces an unexpected life challenge when her husband seemingly loses their wealth. Forced to adapt to a new life in Mumbai, Bae transitions from living in luxury to surviving in a modest setting, including dealing with a leaky roof and using public transport. She eventually finds work at a newsroom, where she encounters a stern boss, played by Vir Das. The series chronicles Bae’s journey as she navigates this new reality, showcasing her resilience and adaptability.

The supporting cast includes Muskkaan Jaferi as Saira, Bae’s first friend in Mumbai; Niharika Lyra Dutt as Tamarrah, a workaholic journalist; Varun Sood as Prince, Bae’s ex-trainer; Gurfateh Pirzada as Neel, a senior journalist and mentor; and Vihaan Samat as Agastya Chowdhary, Bae’s love interest. The series promises a mix of drama, humor, and a journey of self-discovery.

Saira (Muskkaan Jaferi): A confident and youthful spirit, Saira becomes Bae’s first ally in the chaotic world of Mumbai. She helps Bae adjust to her new surroundings, offering both friendship and guidance as Bae learns to navigate the city on her own.

Tamarrah (Niharika Lyra Dutt): Tamarrah is a budding journalist with a reputation for being a workaholic and a perfectionist. As Bae steps into her first serious job, Tamarrah becomes a supportive friend, helping Bae settle into the demanding environment of a newsroom.

Prince (Varun Sood): Prince is Bae’s former fitness trainer, who might look like a typical tough gym enthusiast but reveals a much softer side as a sweet, tech-savvy geek. He remains a reliable figure in Bae’s life, always ready to lend a hand whenever she needs it.

Neel (Gurfateh Pirzada): Neel is a senior journalist who, despite his sincerity, often struggles with anxiety. He takes Bae under his wing as her mentor, encouraging her to step out of her comfort zone and helping her realize her true potential.

Agastya Chowdhary (Vihaan Samat): Agastya is the quintessential billionaire heartthrob, born into the illustrious Chowdhary family. While he was considered the ideal son-in-law, his life takes a turn when he falls in love with Bae, leaving the audience wondering if they will have their happily-ever-after.

Satyajit Sen (Vir Das): Satyajit is a formidable character, a top news anchor known for his pompous and rigid ways. He represents the old guard of journalism, and his interactions with Bae often lead to clashes as she challenges his conventional beliefs and pushes him out of his comfort zone.
