Hrithik Roshan’s Landmark Victory in Deepfake Case: A Win for All Celebrities!

0

Bollywood icon Hrithik Roshan has won an important legal battle against deepfakes and abuse of celebrity identity. The Delhi High Court has restrained officially people and platforms from using Hrithik’s name, image, voice, or likeness in any AI-made or false content without his clear consent.

The move is timely when AI and deepfake videos are spreading fast in India, tending to blur the reality vs. fiction line. Hrithik, a face closely identifiable and marketable as any from Bollywood, stood firm to safeguard his reputation and image from being used for nefarious purposes online.

Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora, the judge hearing the case, ordered various internet sites and listings misusing Hrithik’s name to remove the content immediately. But the court was at pains to say that genuine fan sites and fan clubs will not be touched — only those leasing his persona for profit or false promotions are under this order.

The court highlighted that the use of a celebrity’s face, voice, or edited clips not only deceives people but also infringes on their publicity and personality rights. In short, no person or entity can derive profit from Hrithik’s personality or develop AI content mimicking him without the fear of prosecution.

This interim order is a significant development in directing how India addresses AI abuse and digital impersonation, particularly with regards to public personalities. The issue is to come back for a detailed hearing in March 2026, when the court can give a final ruling.

Hrithik’s move to court also mirrors a wider trend within the film world, as celebrities increasingly head to court to protect their online personas. Recently, other celebrities such as Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan, Karan Johar, and Kumar Sanu have similarly approached court with petitions against the use of their face in such counterfeit or AI-based videos.

Deepfakes are increasingly becoming an issue all over the world, with a number of actors and celebrities being at the center of doctored videos or audio recordings that can tarnish reputations or deceive viewers.

For Hrithik Roshan, the case is a signficant victory not only for him but for celebrity rights in India. It establishes a vital precedent, affirming that digital impersonation for monetary gain is not only unethical — it’s illegal. This ruling may open the doors to tighter controls on AI-generated content in India.

The Most Epic Mashup in Fashion History? Victoria’s Secret’s Britney-Kamal Haasan Tribute!

Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was once again to dazzling heights in October 2025, reclaiming its place in world spotlight with an adrenaline-pumping extravaganza in New York City. With stunning sets, fearless fashion, and performances by Missy Elliott, Karol G, and K-pop sensation TWICE, the show combined glamour with innovation — but one surprise musical moment was the true showstopper.

In a runway moment, the crowd was left agog over an amazing mashup: Britney Spears’ Toxic being seamlessly merged with Tere Mere Beech Mein, a popular Hindi tune from the 1981 Bollywood movie Ek Duuje Ke Liye. The East-meets-West mashup went viral, exciting fans online and sparking renewed controversy around the two songs’ long-mulled-up connection.

The fans had for long presumed that the hook of strings in Toxic was stolen from Tere Mere Beech Mein. Written by Laxmikant-Pyarelal and Anand Bakshi and performed by legends Lata Mangeshkar and S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, the original Hindi track has an identical haunting melody. The mashup they did for the fashion show capitalized on their audio affinities, combining the scorching syrupy groove of Spears’ 2003 single with the dramatics of the Hindi classic.

Toxic, on the other hand, was a global phenomenon, earning Britney Spears a Grammy and one of the defining songs of the 2000s. Tere Mere Beech Mein is from Ek Duuje Ke Liye, an antique Indian film which told a tragic love story of an intercultural affair. Starring Kamal Haasan and Rati Agnihotri and directed by K. Balachander, the film is still a powerful cultural reference point.

The mashup’s viral fame not only thrilled fans globally but also brought to light the rich musical exchange between the East and West — proving that melodies have no borders and no decades

Vicky Kaushal’s Favorite Directors: Guess Who’s Not on the List?

0

Actor Vicky Kaushal has spoken about the ongoing buzz around his strained relationship with director Anurag Kashyap, days after the director spoke candidly about their current lack of interaction.

In a conversation at the Yuvaa Conclave, the Masaan actor, all set to become a father soon, spoke about the directors with whom he is close. Vicky openly tagged directors such as Anand Tiwari, Meghna Gulzar, and Laxman Utekar, highlighting the importance of long-term creative partnerships based on respect and trust to him. Interestingly, there was no mention of Anurag Kashyap’s name in the list — something that did not escape the fans, particularly in the wake of Kashyap’s recent comments.

This comes after the director’s open interview with The Lallantop, where he spoke about Vicky Kaushal’s new movie Chhaava, which was released on February 14, 2025. Anurag shared that he screened the movie just to watch actor Viineet Kumar Singh perform and confessed that he didn’t particularly care for it.

More importantly, he also opened up about his equation at a personal level with Kaushal. “I have very little interaction with him now. I don’t judge him, because everyone has their own reasons… I don’t repeat myself. What I wanted to say, I said,” said Kashyap, clearly stating there has been distance between them.

For those who do not know their background, Vicky Kaushal’s first major role was in Kashyap’s 2015 film Masaan, and that remains a milestone in his career. Kashyap, an acclaimed director with a reputation for providing new talent with their initial major opportunity, had frequently boasted about Kaushal’s ascension in Bollywood. Nevertheless, with time, their professional journeys went different ways.

Vicky’s recent remarks indicate a subtle but strong effort to clear the air without taking things out of hand. By not mentioning Kashyap as one of his closest collaborators, the actor of Uri appeared to indirectly confirm increasing distance between them while accentuating the individuals who are still a part of his creative process.

Meanwhile, Kashyap’s comments also suggested no ill will merely a natural drift in all these years as both established their own careers.

Although no reason for the estrangement has been openly expressed by either side, this public acknowledgement on both their parts has placed their once-strong relationship in sharp relief, and the fans wonder now if ever the two will again work together in the future.

Criminal Playing a Hero? Abhinav Kashyap’s Explosive Comments on Salman Khan!

0

The old rivalry between Salman Khan and director Abhinav Kashyap has resurfaced with a new series of comments from both parties. Abhinav, whose claim to fame is working on the 2010 blockbuster Dabangg, took another scathing jibe at the Bollywood mega star, dubbing him a “criminal” in an interview recently.

Talking to Bollywood Thikana, 51-year-old director Abhinav bashed Salman’s new movie Battle of Galwan, in which the actor will essay the role of a soldier. Abhinav bluntly stated, “A criminal like him will play a soldier?” pointing towards the numerous legal cases Salman has been facing all these years. He also added that it is not Salman who gets most hurt by his words but his fans.

Kashyap then went on to claim that Salman’s real problem with him stems from the fact that he could never be “bought.” He stated, “That’s what bothers him. His money is useless here. I’m not for sale,” making it clear that he sees his criticism as a matter of principle rather than personal vendetta. “I speak only from truth, not hate,” he added.

Salman didn’t stay absolutely silent in response. On Weekend Ka Vaar of Bigg Boss 19, the actor seemed to make a veiled but sharp comment about Abhinav without naming him. “There’s one more Dabangg guy who’s taking jibes at me and Aamir Khan as well. I just want to ask, you got any work, brother?” he smiled, eliciting laughter from viewers.

Salman subsequently went on to suggest that Abhinav had ruined his own career by always berating everyone else in the industry instead of attending to his art. “Attend to your family,” he counseled, implying that bitterness will get you nowhere. He finished up on a religious note: “You want to bring me on my knees, but I do that every day for God.”

This conflict is not new. The conflict between Salman Khan and Abhinav Kashyap started in 2010, when Abhinav accused Salman and his brothers, Arbaaz and Sohail Khan, of hijacking Dabangg and pushing him out of his own project. Ever since, Kashyap has incessantly accused the Khan family of attempting to destroy his career and of employing their clout to stifle his prospects in the industry.

The End of Shah Rukh Khan’s Reign? Fans Left Disappointed Over His Latest Controversy!

0

Indian YouTuber and social commentator Dhruv Rathee has touched off a heated public debate by challenging Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan’s enormous wealth and advertising decisions, most specifically his endorsement of paan masala brands.

In a new video posted on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, Rathee pointed out that the 59-year-old thespian has now gained an estimated net worth of ₹12,400 crore, making him one of the world’s richest stars and even beating many of the best-known Hollywood stars. Rathee emphasized how hard it is even to think of such a huge amount of money and showed his point by making some shocking calculations.

As per Rathee, if Shah Rukh Khan just kept this money in the bank with a 7% annual interest rate, he’d be making approximately ₹870 crore per year without lifting a finger. Even after paying approximately 40% in taxes about ₹500 crore SRK would still have more disposable income per year than most could ever dream of.

Rathee went on to calculate how much luxury this amount could afford. He calculated that if SRK purchased a private aircraft and funded its yearly maintenance expenses, this would cost around ₹200 crore annually. If he bought one upmarket residential property somewhere on the planet each year, that would cost another ₹100 crore. Even with luxurious world tours, five-star accommodations, and personal expenditures, his yearly expenditures would be ₹400 crore still far short of the ₹870 crore he would earn just in interest alone.

The YouTuber made the argument that even with all that lavish spending, Shah Rukh Khan’s fortunes wouldn’t go down. And so he posed a sharp question to the actor:

“Isn’t this money enough? If it is, then why do you still feel the need to promote harmful products like paan masala?”

Rathee remembered that as per a 2014 report, SRK was being given around ₹20 crore a year to promote a paan masala company. He inferred that in 2025, the figure could quite easily be ₹100 to ₹200 crore annually, adjusting for inflation and SRK’s increasing clout.

The influencer concluded by calling upon the actor to consider the social responsibility that goes with such enormous wealth and popularity.

“Ask yourself the question truthfully, what are you going to do with all that money? Think about how good it would be for the nation if such a huge star would refrain from endorsing such dangerous products,” Rathee said.

Bhagwat – Chapter 1: Raakshas Movie Review | The Evil That Smiles

0

In the still alleys of an imaginary Robertsganj, silence speaks louder than screams. Akshay Shere’s Bhagwat – Chapter 1: Raakshas steps into that silence, peeling open the festering underbelly of small-town life — where exploitation thrives not under the glare of power but behind the soft smile of civility.

The film begins with the disappearance of a young woman named Poonam. Inspector Vishwas Bhagwat (Arshad Warsi), arrives to investigate — his presence bringing a faint promise of order to a place where hope has long been bartered for survival. But Bhagwat himself carries shadows from his past; once entangled in a similar scandal, he is both the hunter and the haunted.

The trail of the missing girl leads him to Samir (Jitendra Kumar), a quiet college professor, whose calm exterior conceals something far more primal. Samir is not the archetypal villain that cinema loves to parade. He is ordinary — devastatingly, chillingly ordinary — the kind of man who would never raise suspicion, even in the most paranoid crowd. And therein lies the horror.

“Raakshas nahin hoon main, baaz hoon. (I am not a demon. I am a hawk)”.

That single line slices through the film like a blade — a self-portrait of a predator who watches, calculates, and strikes with precision. Samir doesn’t revel in carnage; he studies it. His monstrosity is intellectual, even surgical. Jitendra Kumar — known for his gentle, affable roles in Panchayat and Kota Factory — slips into this moral abyss with unnerving restraint. His stillness becomes the performance; his gaze, the weapon.

Warsi, meanwhile, brings a weary gravitas to Bhagwat — a cop not sculpted from righteousness but from fatigue. There’s grit, yes, but also guilt; an understanding that justice in such towns is less a system and more an act of faith. Best remembered for his comic ease in Munnabhai and Dhamaal, Warsi revisits the psychological greyness he once explored in Asur. Here, his silences weigh heavier than his words, as if every pause hides an unspoken confession.

Shere’s direction is deliberate and brooding. Bhagwat – Chapter 1 unfolds in shadows — light is rationed, almost forbidden. Daylight appears only in brief, deceptive intervals, as though purity itself feels intrusive. The soundscape, too, is sparse: footsteps, rustling leaves, an occasional thud — each amplified by absence. This restraint gives the film its pulse, its dread.

The screenplay resists the temptation to blame the powerful or the obvious. Instead, it exposes the predator within the ordinary — the professor next door, the polite stranger, the man whose empathy is a mask. Evil here doesn’t roar; it whispers.

Shere flirts with subtexts of interfaith tension and romance but wisely avoids sensationalism. What seems familiar at first soon twists into something disturbingly unexpected. Every thread that feels predictable frays without warning. The viewer’s certainty becomes the film’s most dangerous illusion.

Young women, drawn to the professor’s gentleness, become unwitting participants in their own undoing — a commentary on how affection, unexamined and impulsive, can blind one to the quiet signs of danger.

In essence, Bhagwat – Chapter 1: Raakshas isn’t a tale of monsters lurking in the dark — it’s about the darkness lurking within those who smile. Akshay Shere crafts a world where justice limps, morality blurs, and redemption feels almost mythical.

Warsi and Kumar are both cast against their usual type — and both triumph. One wears his scars like armour; the other hides his fangs behind intellect. Together, they form the film’s erratic heartbeat — conflicted, fragile, and disturbingly alive.

The result is a thriller that doesn’t chase adrenaline — it stalks it. And when it finally grips you, it doesn’t let go. It lingers like an aftertaste: bitter, cold, and impossible to wash away.
