Bhumi Pednekar Gets Emotional After Meeting The Dalai Lama

Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar recently shared an emotional post on social media after meeting His Holiness Dalai Lama. The actress described the experience as deeply moving and said it left a strong emotional impact on her. Along with her note, Bhumi also shared several pictures from the visit, including moments where she was seen bowing before the spiritual leader and appearing emotional during the interaction.

The photos also showed peaceful surroundings at the monastery and glimpses from her time there. In her caption, Bhumi explained how calm and peaceful she felt in the presence of the Dalai Lama. She revealed that after walking away from the meeting, she realised tears were flowing down her face. According to the actress, it was an emotional experience that she found difficult to fully explain in words.

“In the presence of His Holiness The Dalai Lama, everything felt lighter, calmer & surreal. The moment I walked away, I realised tears were flowing down my face. It’s a feeling I can’t fully explain, only deeply feel. I’ve been on an inward journey and these moments of magic fill my heart with gratitude, for the life we have been given. Truly blessed to have experienced a moment of such peace, grace & compassion. A memory I’ll carry with me forever,” she wrote.

Bhumi’s post quickly drew attention online, with many people reacting to her emotional experience and spiritual reflections. The actress referred to the meeting as one of the most meaningful moments of her life and said she would always carry the memory with her.

On the work front, Bhumi Pednekar is reportedly in discussions for a courtroom drama from the makers of Haq, which starred Yami Gautam. She is also expected to star opposite Imran Khan in his comeback project for Netflix. The film is currently being kept under wraps and has reportedly been in development for some time.

The actress was also recently in the news after reports claimed she would not return for season 2 of The Royals, which featured Ishaan Khatter in a lead role. According to reports, the second season is expected to shift its focus more towards the royal family and the larger world of the series rather than the main romantic storyline from the first season.

Ram Charan’s Peddi Trailer Reveals A Powerful Sports Drama

0

The trailer of Peddi, starring Ram Charan, has finally been released after a long wait and has quickly caught the attention of fans. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film is backed by Mythri Movie Makers and Vriddhi Cinemas. The three minute trailer presents a mix of sports, action, emotion and rural drama while introducing viewers to the world of Peddi.

In the film, Ram Charan plays a rare crossover athlete who competes in cricket, wrestling and running. Set in Vijayanagaram in Andhra Pradesh, the story follows Peddi, a talented sportsman who becomes well known in his district because of his success in different competitions. The trailer shows him using sports as a way to improve his life and earn respect. However, his journey is filled with challenges, social barriers and personal struggles that stand in the way of his goals.

The trailer also introduces Peddi’s love story with Achiyyamma, played by Janhvi Kapoor. Other important characters include Rambujji, played by Divyendu, who appears to be Peddi’s rival in the town. Jagapathi Babu plays Peddi’s grandfather Appalasoori, while Shiva Rajkumar appears as wrestling coach Gourinaidu.

One of the main highlights of the trailer is Ram Charan’s physical transformation and performance. His rugged appearance, body language and intense sporting scenes suggest that the actor has put significant effort into the role. The film also appears to focus on themes like ambition, inequality, community pride and survival in a rural setting.

The visuals by cinematographer Ratnavelu capture the raw atmosphere of village life and sports competitions. Music by A. R. Rahman adds emotional depth to the trailer, especially during the dramatic moments.

Peddi was officially launched in March 2024 and completed shooting in April 2026. During the final schedule, Ram Charan reportedly suffered an injury above his eye. A source had confirmed to HT, “He was injured above his eye, not his eye, like some seem to believe. His eye is fine. He had to get four sutures for it.” Despite the injury, the actor continued shooting.

The film was postponed multiple times before its release date was finally locked for June 4. After the underperformance of Game Changer, attention is now focused on whether Peddi can help Ram Charan make a strong comeback at the box office.

Raja Shivaji Inches Closer To Historic Rs. 100 Crore Milestone

Raja Shivaji continued its theatrical run with a good jump on its second Sunday at the Indian box office. The film collected Rs. 3.75 crore gross on Sunday, which was around 20 per cent higher than its Saturday collections. With this, the Riteish Deshmukh starrer ended its second weekend with Rs. 8.35 crore gross. However, the film also recorded a major drop of nearly 80 per cent compared to its opening weekend collections.

After completing its latest weekend, the total collection of Raja Shivaji has now reached Rs. 98.10 crore gross in India. The movie is now very close to entering the Rs. 100 crore club and is expected to achieve the milestone by its second Tuesday. If that happens, Raja Shivaji will become the first Marathi film to cross the Rs. 100 crore mark at the Indian box office.

Earlier Marathi films like Sairat and Baipan Bhari Deva had come very close to achieving this milestone, but both films ended their theatrical runs slightly below the mark. Once Raja Shivaji crosses Rs. 100 crore, it will officially become the highest grossing Marathi film.

At the same time, the film’s box office performance has been different compared to earlier Marathi blockbusters. Both Sairat and Baipan Bhari Deva earned most of their collections from Maharashtra. In comparison, Raja Shivaji has earned nearly Rs. 25 crore from markets outside Maharashtra.

In Maharashtra itself, Raja Shivaji is expected to remain behind the collections of Sairat and Baipan Bhari Deva. Since Maharashtra is considered the core market for Marathi cinema, expectations from the film were much higher. Trade experts had expected the movie to deliver record breaking business in the state, especially after films like Tanhaji and Chhaava performed exceptionally well there. Tanhaji adjusted to around Rs. 250 crore in today’s value, while Chhaava crossed Rs. 300 crore in Maharashtra alone. Raja Shivaji, however, is not expected to reach those levels.

The Box Office Collections for Raja Shivaji in India are as follows:

Week 1: Rs. 61.75 crore
Week 2: Rs. 28.00 crore

3rd Friday: Rs. 1.60 crore
3rd Saturday: Rs. 3.00 crore
3rd Sunday: Rs. 3.75 crore

Total: Rs. 98.10 crore

Michael Nears Rs. 70 Crore In India As Sunday Brings Big Boost

The musical biopic Michael continued its steady run at the Indian box office during its fourth weekend. The film collected Rs. 3.90 crore gross over the weekend, with Sunday contributing the biggest share at Rs. 2.10 crore. After four weeks in theatres, the Jaafar Jackson starrer has now reached a total of Rs. 69.65 crore gross in India. The movie is currently in the final phase of its theatrical run and is expected to add a few more crores before ending its journey.

Trade estimates suggest that Michael may finish this week with collections in the range of Rs. 71 crore to Rs. 72 crore gross. The film is also expected to cross the Rs. 75 crore mark during its fifth week. Based on its current performance trend, the biographical drama is likely to close its lifetime business under the Rs. 80 crore gross mark in India.

Despite not belonging to a major action or superhero franchise, Michael has managed to perform well in the Indian market. The film has now become the third Hollywood HIT of the year in India after Project Hail Mary and Lee Cronin’s The Mummy. All three films released within a short period of around one month and surprised the trade with their performances.

Another Hollywood release, The Devil Wears Prada 2, is also doing well at the Indian box office. While the film may not reach HIT status, it is still expected to end its run as a successful venture.

What makes these results notable is that these films are not part of the usual Hollywood franchises that traditionally dominate the Indian market. In recent years, Indian audiences have mostly supported big IP based releases. However, the success of films like Michael shows that audiences are also willing to watch different kinds of Hollywood films if the content connects with them.

The Box Office Collections for Michael in India are as follows:

Week One: Rs. 31.25 cr.
Week Two: Rs. 20.50 cr.
Week Three: Rs. 13.00 cr.

4th Friday: Rs. 0.90 cr.
4th Saturday: Rs. 1.90 cr.
4th Sunday: Rs. 2.10 cr. (est.)

Total: Rs. 69.65 cr.

Pati Patni Aur Woh Do shows strong Monday trend

Pati Patni Aur Woh Do continues to surprise the trade with its strong theatrical momentum, especially after showing healthy growth across the weekend. The Mudassar Aziz directorial, backed by T-Series and B R Studios, has gradually built audience traction through family crowds and positive word of mouth, and the Monday trend is now adding another encouraging sign to its box office journey.

While weekday drops are normally expected after a weekend run, the film is currently showing an unusually steady hold for a working Monday. According to ongoing ticketing trends, nearly 2.7K tickets were booked within the last hour (around 2PM) alone, indicating that audience interest remains active even beyond the weekend rush.

For the trade, this becomes an important indicator because family entertainers and comedy dramas often depend heavily on sustained audience appreciation rather than frontloaded openings. The current trend suggests that Pati Patni Aur Woh Do is benefiting from exactly that pattern, with viewers continuing to discover the film through public feedback.

If the film manages to maintain this pace through the weekdays, it could emerge as one of those steady performers that grow gradually through audience support rather than opening day hype.

At a time when theatrical sustainability has become increasingly important, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do appears to be finding its audience organically, and Monday’s booking momentum is only reinforcing that narrative within trade circles.

Pati Patni Aur Woh Do Shows Strong Weekend Growth, Crosses ₹20 Crore Nett

Pati Patni Aur Woh Do has steadily found its space and pace at the box office over the weekend. After opening at ₹4.38 crore nett on Day 1, the film witnessed a healthy jump on Day 2 by collecting ₹6.67 crore nett. Continuing its upward trend, the entertainer has now earned ₹9.06 crore on Sunday, taking its opening weekend total to ₹20.11 crore nett.

The film has registered a strong weekend jump, indicating growing audience acceptance and highly positive word-of-mouth among the audiences. The steady upward trend reflects the film’s appeal for viewers looking for clean comedy and wholesome theatrical entertainment.

With summer vacations currently underway, the film is expected to witness further footfalls during the weekdays as well. The growth in numbers clearly shows that Ayushmann Khurrana has successfully managed to bring audiences back to theatres with a clean comedy entertainer catering to viewers across age groups.

Gulshan Kumar, B R Chopra and T-Series present, a T-Series Films and B R Studios Production, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, directed by Mudassar Aziz, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Renu Ravi Chopra and Krishan Kumar, and creatively produced by Juno Chopra, is now running in cinemas.

Anurag Kashyap faces Non-Bailable Warrant over controversial posts linked to Phule

0

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has landed in legal trouble after a Surat court reportedly directed the registration of a criminal case against him over controversial social media remarks linked to the film Phule. According to multiple published reports, the case stems from comments allegedly made by Kashyap while reacting to the online backlash surrounding the film’s trailer last year.

Reports state that the complaint was filed by lawyer and VHP leader Kamlesh Raval, who accused the filmmaker of making remarks that allegedly insulted the Brahmin community and could disturb communal harmony. The court is said to have observed that there were sufficient grounds to proceed with the matter and directed authorities to register a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

Several media reports have further claimed that a non-bailable warrant has also been issued against Kashyap after he allegedly did not respond to repeated summons in the case.

The controversy traces back to the period when Phule, directed by Anant Mahadevan, had faced objections from certain groups over its trailer release. Kashyap had reacted strongly on social media at the time, and some of his replies later became the centre of the present legal dispute.

As of now, Anurag Kashyap has not officially commented on the latest court developments.

Euphoria Star Chloe Cherry Opens Up About Years Of Lip Fillers And Botox Use

0

Chloe Cherry recently opened up about her experience with cosmetic procedures, including lip fillers and Botox. During an appearance in Vogue’s “Beauty Secrets” series, the Euphoria actress spoke honestly about how frequently she has undergone these treatments over the years.

Cherry revealed that getting lip filler has become such a normal part of her life that she no longer uses numbing cream before the procedure.

Talking about it openly, she said, “Obviously, I get lip filler.” She further added, “I have gotten so much lip filler in my lifetime that I no longer even need to use the numbing cream because I am so used to how it feels to get lip filler.”

The actress also admitted that cosmetic procedures eventually became part of her regular routine. “It’s my thing,” she said.

Cherry explained that she first started getting Botox and fillers because she was unhappy with how she looked. According to her, the treatments slowly became something she continued doing regularly over time.

She shared, “I initially began getting Botox and filler because [she] did not like how [her] face looked.” She later admitted, “It’s just kind of led to me kind of having to keep doing it.”

The actress also revealed that she has used Botox on her forehead many times over the years. Speaking about its long term effect, she said, “I have literally put it in my forehead so many times that — I’m not even kidding — I think the muscle has atrophied.”

Back in 2022, Cherry had also spoken about the attention she receives because of her lips during an interview with Page Six Style. At that time, she described the public reaction as “crazy” and said she appreciated the compliments.

She had said, “I’m definitely extremely flattered.” The actress also shared some of her personal lip care habits and explained that she prefers simple and natural methods.

Talking about her routine, Cherry said, “I love lip scrubs and masks.” She added, “For a lip scrub, I love to use just straight up coffee grounds or sugar, something natural.”

At the same time, several celebrities have recently spoken about regretting cosmetic procedures. Kesha recently revealed during an appearance on Call Her Daddy that she went through a “horrible filler phase.” She admitted that she was trying to “shape shift to make everybody happy.”

Model Brooks Nader also shared earlier this year that she decided to dissolve her lip fillers because she wanted to feel more like herself again.

Meanwhile, Lisa Kudrow and Paige DeSorbo have also spoken about stepping away from Botox treatments after feeling they had overdone the procedures.

Kiara Advani Shares The Relationship Advice She Wants To Give Daughter Saraayah

0

Kiara Advani recently opened up about the kind of relationship advice she would like to give her daughter Saraayah when she grows older. Speaking on Raj Shamani’s podcast, the actress said she wants her daughter to live life freely and make her own choices without pressure about relationships or marriage.

Kiara shared that she does not want Saraayah to feel restricted by society’s expectations. According to her, people should have the freedom to explore life, understand relationships and decide for themselves what makes them happy.

Talking about the same, Kiara said, “I would want her to see a very full life. I don’t want her to feel like she has to only date one person or she has to… Like, there’s no restriction of if you want to get married, get married and if you don’t want to get married, don’t get married…”

The actress also reflected on her own past relationships and said that every relationship taught her something valuable. Kiara admitted that in the past, she believed every person she dated would eventually become her life partner.

She said, “Life doesn’t turn out like that. Thank god it didn’t turn out like that because I’m very happy with who god chose as my eventual life partner (Sidharth Malhotra). But all those relations that you have in your life growing up, they all teach you something. They eventually make you the person that you are…”

Kiara further explained that she wants her daughter to understand that making mistakes is a normal part of life. She said people learn from their experiences and grow stronger through both good and bad decisions.

Sharing her thoughts on parenting, Kiara said, “I’ll tell her (Saraayah) that it’s okay to experience life in totality, to decide what you want and what you don’t want, and you will make mistakes along the way. You will make some choices that, you may, in hindsight, feel were not the best, but it’s how you learn from those and what you take from those.”

Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra welcomed their daughter Saraayah on July 15, 2025. Even though the couple has not revealed their daughter’s face publicly, they often speak lovingly about her during interviews and on social media.

Recently, Kiara celebrated her first Mother’s Day after becoming a mother, and Sidharth surprised her with pancakes at home.

On the work front, Kiara Advani will next be seen in Toxic: A Fairytale for Grownups directed by Geetu Mohandas. The film also stars Yash, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi and Tara Sutaria. The movie was earlier scheduled to release on June 4, 2026, but its new release date has not yet been announced.

Anurag Kashyap Says Cannes Is About Cinema And Not Just Red Carpet Glamour

0

The Cannes Film Festival continues to attract global attention every year for both cinema and celebrity appearances. While many Indian stars grab headlines for their red carpet looks, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap believes the real purpose of the festival is slowly being ignored in India.

Speaking in an interview with Sucharita Tyagi, Anurag Kashyap said that people in India are too focused on red carpet appearances and fashion, while very little attention is being given to films and cinema culture.

He said that many Indian celebrities and even filmmakers treat Cannes mainly as a glamorous event instead of understanding its larger importance as an international film festival where films from around the world are screened and discussed.

Talking about this growing obsession, Kashyap said, “In India, the problem and obsession with Cannes is only to walk the red carpet. They don’t understand that there is a festival, and the purpose of it is beyond the red carpet.”

The filmmaker also shared that he personally avoids unnecessary attention during the festival. He explained that he usually enters screenings quietly from the side instead of appearing on the red carpet. When asked why many people did not know he was present on the opening day of Cannes, he replied, “Hum log side se chale jaate hain. (We head inside from the side).”

Anurag Kashyap further said that the red carpet is actually the least important part of Cannes. According to him, the main focus should be on films, discussions around cinema, and learning from global filmmaking culture.

He also expressed disappointment that many Indian delegates who attend the market section of the festival are not actively watching films during the event.

Speaking about the same, Kashyap said, “What is more important is the cinema, and I don’t think people even come here for cinema. Even all the Indian people who are coming to the market are not watching films. Very rarely I see someone.”

Despite the debate around the purpose of Cannes, Indian celebrities continued to make headlines for their red carpet appearances this year. Stars like Alia Bhatt, Urvashi Rautela and Tara Sutaria were among those who attracted attention for their fashion choices at the festival.
