Ye’s (Kanye West) India concert cancelled

0

Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, will no longer be performing in India this month as his much-awaited debut concert in the country has officially been cancelled. The rapper was scheduled to perform in Delhi on May 23, 2026. The announcement was made by White Fox, the global entertainment company behind the event, which cited security advisories and directives issued by government and law enforcement authorities as the reason behind the cancellation.

In an official statement released on Friday, the organisers said, “We are deeply disheartened to announce that Ye Live in India, scheduled for 23rd May 2026 in New Delhi, will not be able to proceed due to directives issued by officials.”

The company added that the event had been in the works for months and was expected to be among the biggest live productions ever staged in the country. However, the organisers stressed that safety remained the top priority. “After months of planning and preparation for what was set to be one of the largest live productions ever staged in India, the safety and well-being of attendees and the citizens of India remain our highest priority during this sensitive time,” the statement added.

White Fox also thanked fans, partners, crew members and supporters who had backed the concert since its announcement. The cancellation has come as a major disappointment for Indian fans who were hoping to witness Ye perform live in the country for the very first time.

The organisers have confirmed that all ticket holders will receive complete refunds. “Full refunds will be issued to all valid ticket holders who purchased through the official ticketing partner, District, within 5-7 business days,” the statement continued.

At the same time, White Fox revealed that discussions are already underway with Ye’s team to explore the possibility of rescheduling the concert. “We are currently working with the artist’s team to secure a new date and venue,” the organisers said.

Widely regarded as one of the most influential hip-hop artists of all time, Ye has shaped global music culture with acclaimed albums such as The College Dropout, Graduation, 808s & Heartbreak and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Some of his most iconic tracks include Through the Wire, Stronger, Heartless and Runaway.

Over the years, his influence has extended across generations of artists, with names like Travis Scott, Drake and Juice WRLD often citing his impact on modern hip-hop.

Most recently, Ye released his studio album Bully on March 28, featuring collaborations with Travis Scott, CeeLo Green and Andre Troutman.

While the cancellation has left fans disappointed, the possibility of a rescheduled show has kept hopes alive for Ye’s long-awaited India debut.

Along with the message, Sham Kaushal shared a simple family picture where both father and son were seen sitting together comfortably on a couch at home in casual clothes. The post reflected the close bond they share as a family.

Sham Kaushal has often used social media to celebrate important moments in his son’s life and career. Whether it is a film achievement or a personal milestone, he regularly shares messages showing his support and affection for his family.

Last year in November, Sham Kaushal had also shared his happiness after becoming a grandfather following the birth of Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif’s baby boy. He had posted an emotional note expressing his gratitude and joy at welcoming the newest member of the Kaushal family.

His message at that time read, “So so happy becoming a Dada… Shukariya Rab Da… God is and has been so kind. Bhagwan ki meherbani aise hi mere bachon pe aur sabse junior Kaushal pe bani rahe.”

Buchi Babu Sana Rejected Khushi Kapoor for This Shocking Reason Before Casting Janhvi Kapoor in Peddi

0

As excitement grows around Peddi, filmmaker Buchi Babu Sana has revealed an interesting story about the film’s casting. The movie stars Ram Charan in the lead role along with Janhvi Kapoor, who plays the character Achiyamma. During a recent interview with M9, the director shared that the role was first offered to Janhvi’s younger sister Khushi Kapoor. However, after meeting her in person, he felt she looked too young for the emotionally strong character he had imagined.

Buchi said it was an awkward situation because he had to reject one sister and then narrate the same story to the other in the same house. He admitted that he felt uncomfortable while doing it and later asked Janhvi if Khushi was upset about the decision. According to him, such tough choices are sometimes necessary for the sake of the film. He explained that from the very beginning, he could only imagine Janhvi playing Achiyamma. Even while discussing the story with others, he always pictured her in the role.

The director also recalled how directly he spoke to Khushi during the meeting. He said he greeted her warmly but honestly told her that he did not see her fitting the role and instead wanted Janhvi for the film. Buchi stressed that the decision was never personal and was purely based on what suited the story best. His honesty and clarity reportedly helped avoid any misunderstanding between the sisters.

Peddi is set in rural Andhra Pradesh during the 1980s and has already created huge buzz among movie lovers. The film’s promotional material hints at a story involving cricket and traditional wrestling, also known as kushti or pehelwani. Fans have high expectations because the project has already been postponed twice, increasing curiosity around the final release.

Recently, Buchi and Ram Charan were seen shooting a promotional video while driving around Hyderabad. In the video, the filmmaker praised Charan for being completely dedicated to the story despite his superstar image. Buchi said the actor focused only on giving his best performance and treated the project with complete sincerity. The team also confirmed that a special promotional interview for the film has been shot and will be released soon, while the trailer is scheduled to arrive on May 18 ahead of the film’s June 4 release.

Saif Ali Khan Reveals He Was Almost Cast In Main Hoon Na

0

Saif Ali Khan recently spoke about his long professional connection with Shah Rukh Khan while discussing their upcoming collaboration in Kartavya. During an interview, Saif shared that Shah Rukh had once approached him for a role in Main Hoon Na, but the casting did not move forward later.

Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Saif said, “He once called me for a movie that didn’t happen. Shah Rukh once called me for Main Hoon Na; he said there is a great part. Then Farah called me later and said, ‘No, no, no.’”

Although Saif did not reveal which role he was being considered for, many fans believe it may have been the character Lucky, which was eventually played by Zayed Khan. Saif further added, “I shouldn’t say these things, but I am too honest. This will get highlighted somewhere. But yes, Red Chillies is a wonderful production; they pick up really exciting and interesting ideas. It was very cool to get an offer like that.”

Earlier, while speaking to SCREEN, Saif had also praised Shah Rukh Khan as a producer. He said, “As a producer, SRK has not made his presence felt in the movie. One of the nice things that many producers do is give a lot of space and scope to the production. This film has kind of been run by Pulkit, and he has been given the space by Red Chillies to do that, which is really generous of them.”

Saif also spoke positively about Red Chillies Entertainment and the kind of projects the company supports. He said, “As a production company, the subjects they choose, the people they put together, are very interesting. SRK has a huge love of cinema, and we can feel that in his production.”

At the trailer launch of Kartavya, Saif once again spoke about his respect for Shah Rukh Khan. He shared, “Shah Rukh Khan is someone I look up to in many ways. He told me there is a lovely script that he wanted me to hear and read, so we went through the process of listening to it and meeting the director. Once the film was complete, he said it had come out as a lovely movie, and he was very happy with it.”

Kartavya is scheduled to release on May 15 and also stars Rasika Dugal, Zakir Hussain, Sanjay Mishra, and Manish Chaudhari in important roles.

Kartavya Movie Review | Saif Ali Khan shines in this dark, realistic drama

0

Nowadays, it feels like films releasing directly on OTT platforms are those that may not do very well in theatres. Kartavya may not be a great film either, but it is still interesting enough to make you watch till the end. It is a dark and serious film that does not give a happy ending. It simply finishes the story and moves on.

Kartavya features Saif Ali Khan playing Pawan Malik, an honest police officer in a Haryana village. While investigating the murder of a journalist he was responsible for protecting, he also has to save his own family from dangerous threats. The film shows how difficult it becomes for him to choose between his duty as a police officer and his responsibility towards his family.

The story is not just about finding the criminal. It talks more about honesty, corruption, power, caste problems and the pressure of doing the right thing in a broken system.

One good thing about Kartavya is that it does not try to be a loud Bollywood cop film. There are no over-the-top action scenes or heroic dialogues. Instead, the film shows a tired and troubled police officer who looks like a real person dealing with real problems.

Saif Ali Khan is the biggest strength of the film. He gives a calm and natural performance without trying too hard to look like a superstar. His acting feels honest and believable. The dialect used in the film, especially by Saif Ali Khan, makes the story feel even more real and relatable. This is one of his better performances in recent years.

The film also feels very real because of its simple storytelling, village setting and serious tone. Director Pulkit focuses more on realism than glamour. The film touches on many important topics like caste violence, honour killings, fake godmen, corrupt police officers and village politics.

Talking about the supporting cast, not mentioning Sanjay Mishra would be unfair. He is one of those dependable actors who fits comfortably into every kind of role, whether it is comedy, serious drama or emotional scenes. He feels like many emotions and characters rolled into one actor, and once again he leaves an impact with his performance. Rasika Dugal gets limited scope in the film, but she fits her character naturally and does her part well. Zakir Hussain also blends perfectly into the dark and morally complicated world of the story.

But the film also has some weak points. The pace is slow, some twists are easy to guess and the emotional impact is not very strong. Even though the film talks about many serious issues, it does not explore them deeply enough. At times, it feels like the film wants to say something powerful but stays too quiet and controlled.

In the end, Kartavya works more as a serious character-driven film than an exciting thriller. It creates a strong atmosphere and earns respect for trying something different. There are no big action scenes, no loud background music and no larger-than-life hero moments. It is a simple, dark and realistic film that shows Saif Ali Khan in a strong character role once again.

Drake Shock-Drops Three Albums in One Night: Iceman, Habibti and  Maid of Honour

0

Drake just pulled off one of the biggest surprise drops of his career. The rapper released three full-length albums simultaneously at midnight on Friday: Iceman, Habibti, and Maid of Honour. The unexpected triple release was revealed at the end of Drake’s “Iceman Episode 4” livestream, where he announced that all three projects would arrive together. Shortly afterward, he revealed each album cover individually on Instagram.

Together, the three albums contain 43 tracks and feature a massive lineup of collaborators including Future, 21 Savage, Sexyy Red, Central Cee, Popcaan, PartyNextDoor, and several others.

The rollout for Iceman has been building for nearly two years.

Fans first began speculating about the project back in 2024 after Drake referenced “Iceman,” the iconic nickname of Tom Kazansky played by Val Kilmer in Top Gun. Around the same time, Drake posted a screenshot of a folder labeled “2.0 – Iceman,” further fueling rumors.

The official teasing began in July 2025 with the launch of his “Iceman Episode” livestream series on YouTube. Across multiple episodes, Drake previewed unreleased tracks including “What Did I Miss?,” “Which One” featuring Central Cee, and “Dog House” with July Wolf and Yeat.

Last month, Drake staged an elaborate promotional stunt in Toronto involving giant blocks of ice containing the release date for Iceman. A streamer eventually retrieved the hidden bag revealing the May 15 launch date before Drake later confirmed it online himself.

The triple release instantly sent social media into chaos, with fans debating which of the three albums would dominate streaming numbers first.

The move also marks another massive flex in Drake’s already record-breaking career, showing he still knows how to completely hijack the music conversation overnight.

Bhooth Bangla Nears Rs. 165 Crore After Strong Fourth Week Hold

0

Bhooth Bangla continued its steady performance at the Indian box office during its fourth week in theatres. The film collected around Rs. 95 lakh on its fourth Thursday, showing a drop of nearly 35 per cent compared to the previous Thursday. Overall, the fourth week collections were around 40 per cent lower than the third week, which is still considered a stable hold for a film in its fourth week.

The movie’s total India nett collection has now reached Rs. 154.50 crore. Until now, Bhooth Bangla has enjoyed a relatively free run at the box office without facing major competition from new releases. However, this week the film will compete with Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, which is arriving in theatres.

Trade analysts believe that if Bhooth Bangla continues to perform steadily despite the new competition, it could comfortably cross the Rs. 165 crore nett mark by the end of its theatrical run. The film also has a chance of crossing the lifetime India collection of Housefull 5, which earned Rs. 168 crore nett at the Indian box office.

The success of Bhooth Bangla is important for Akshay Kumar, who has faced a difficult phase at the box office in the years following the pandemic. Several of his films underperformed during this period. Although some of his releases last year managed decent business, none of them were major hits. Bhooth Bangla has now emerged as a successful film and has helped improve his recent box office record.

Akshay Kumar is also known for maintaining a high number of film releases every year compared to many other leading actors in the industry. Industry experts often point out that actors who release films regularly help keep theatre business active throughout the year. Apart from Ajay Devgn, very few major stars currently maintain a similar release frequency.

The box office collections for Bhooth Bangla currently stand at Rs. 80.25 crore in Week One, Rs. 40.75 crore in Week Two, and Rs. 21 crore in Week Three. During Week Four, the film collected Rs. 1.45 crore on Friday, Rs. 2.80 crore on Saturday, Rs. 3.75 crore on Sunday, Rs. 1.15 crore on Monday, Rs. 1.40 crore on Tuesday, Rs. 1 crore on Wednesday, and an estimated Rs. 95 lakh on Thursday, taking the total to Rs. 154.50 crore nett.

Krishnavataram Part 1 Holds Strong At Box Office After First Week

Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart continued to perform steadily at the box office during its first week in theatres. The film collected around Rs. 1.10 crore on Day 7, which was Thursday, taking its total first week Hindi nett collection to approximately Rs. 11.65 crore.

Directed by Hardik Gajjar, the movie stars Siddharth Gupta in the lead role. The film combines mythology, fantasy, romance, and drama while focusing on the Krishna avatar. According to current box office trends, the movie is expected to see a rise in collections during its second weekend, which could help it cross the Rs. 15 crore mark.

Trade observers believe the film will need to maintain a stable performance in its second week as well if it wants to continue its theatrical run for a longer period. Matching or coming close to its first week total during the second week could help the film stay strong at the box office.

The performance of Krishnavataram Part 1 has also led to comparisons with Mahavatar Narsimha, which released last year. That animated movie was based on two avatars of Lord Vishnu and had opened with Rs. 1.25 crore nett on its first day. However, the film later witnessed a major jump in collections over the weekend, earning Rs. 3.25 crore nett on Saturday and Rs. 6.25 crore nett on Sunday. It eventually finished its Hindi run with around Rs. 170 crore nett.

Krishnavataram Part 1 has not shown the same kind of rapid growth so far, but films in the mythological genre can sometimes be unpredictable at the box office. Last year, another film titled Laalo: Krishna Sada Sahayate had a slow start and saw little response during its first three weeks before collections increased sharply later.

The box office collections for Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart in Hindi currently stand at Rs. 0.40 crore from previews, Rs. 1.05 crore on Friday, Rs. 2.15 crore on Saturday, Rs. 3.20 crore on Sunday, Rs. 1.05 crore on Monday, Rs. 1.55 crore on Tuesday, Rs. 1.15 crore on Wednesday, and an estimated Rs. 1.10 crore on Thursday. The total first week collection stands at Rs. 11.65 crore nett.
