The much-awaited sequel, Pushpa 2: The Rule, has been making waves not only for its blockbuster box office performance but also for its release strategy. Amidst rumors of an early OTT release, the production house Mythri Movie Makers has issued a statement clarifying that the film will not be available on any OTT platform before 56 days of its theatrical release. The movie, it says in the announcement, is supposed to be watched on big screens during the holiday season, that way the fans get a bigger than life spectacle, watching the movie in theatres.

It is decided not to go for OTT till eight weeks into the release so that audiences get all the chances to watch on the big screen.
In the new version of Pushpa 2: The Rule, there will be 18 minutes extra footage to entertain all the fans.
Launched on 25th December, it has gained a global phenomenon status while entering the elite club of ₹1,000 cr. alongside other Indian blockbuster films like Baahubali 2, RRR, Dangal, Pathaan, and Jawan.
As of this time, Pushpa 2 has netted ₹1,004.35 crore in India, but has also become one of the biggest hits of the year 2024 so far.
Directed by Sukumar himself, the movie also sees Allu Arjun reprise his iconic role as Pushpa Raj, while Rashmika Mandanna is seen as Srivalli and Fahadh Faasil plays the role of SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat.
The film has Jagapathi Babu, Dhananjaya, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, and Anasuya Bharadwaj in key roles.
The fans have appreciated the movie’s decision to focus on the theatrical experience, with many being thrilled at the delayed OTT release. Comments like “Pushpa2 deserves the big screen experience” and “Good, give a good gap between OTT release” showcase the excitement that surrounds the movie’s exclusive run in theaters.
The sequel takes the story forward with labourer-turned-sandalwood smuggler, Pushpa Raj and all his confrontations with the law and different factions. With its narrative gripping performance, power-packed performances, and chart-topping music, Pushpa 2: The Rule has not only met expectations but surpassed all, standing tall in the history of Indian cinema.
