Karan Veer Mehra emerged as the winner of Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, triumphing over finalists Krishna Shroff and Gashmeer Mahajani. In an exclusive interview with India Today Digital, he reflected on his journey, which lasted over three months, and shared insights on overcoming fears, particularly his fear of dogs, and his admiration for host Rohit Shetty.
Describing his experience on the show, Karan expressed a mix of confidence and nervousness upon realizing the level of competition among the contestants. He praised Rohit Shetty as a figure of grace and patience, admitting to having a “man crush” on him and aspiring to emulate his attitude.
Karan revealed that participating in stunts helped him confront his fear of dogs, stating he learned to manage his anxiety around them. However, he still feels cautious about electric currents, humorously acknowledging his lingering fear.
He emphasized the life lessons gained from the show, noting that every stunt felt like a metaphor for overcoming challenges in life. After facing personal lows and negative perceptions, Karan found a renewed sense of self-worth and positivity through the experience.
When asked about potential participation in Bigg Boss 18, he playfully opted to keep the details under wraps, saying, “Let the rumours be rumours.”
Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 aired on Colors, culminating in Karan taking home a trophy, a cash prize of Rs 20 lakh, and a car.
