We all know that Bollywood films release on a Friday, but the Jackky Bhagnani and Arshad Warsi starrer WELCOME TO KARACHI is releasing on Thursday for a special reason. The film, which was initially scheduled to release on May 21, 2015, is now set to hit the screens on May 28, 2015.

WELCOME TO KARACHI is releasing on 28th May to coincide with Vashu Bhagnani produced film BIWI NO. 1’s release date. Years ago (approx. 17 years ago), BIWI NO 1 released on the same date (May 28, 1999) and it was a bumper success at Box-office. So, Vashu is quite keen to release it on that particular date, despite it being a Thursday.

Ask Jackky why they chose a Thursday for the film’s release and he revealed, “BIWI NO 1 released on 28th May and my parents are a little superstitious. So they wanted to release WELCOME TO KARACHI on this date.”
