Bhooth Bangla continues to perform steadily at the box office. On Wednesday, the film collected around Rs. 5.75 crore nett. To stay on track for a successful run, it needed to remain above Rs. 5 crore on that day, which it managed to do. The drop in collections compared to Monday was less than 10 per cent. This is considered a strong hold, as films usually see a drop of around 15 to 25 per cent during weekdays.
After 6 days of release, the Akshay Kumar starrer has collected around Rs. 75 crore nett. The film is expected to finish its first week with close to Rs. 80 crore nett. Based on its current trend, it is moving towards being classified as a HIT. The next important point will be how the film performs on its second Friday.
So far, the film has shown a consistent pattern. It opened well on Friday, saw growth over the weekend, and has maintained stable collections during the weekdays. In its initial days, it was performing at a similar level to Jolly LLB 3 on Friday and Saturday. By Sunday, it moved ahead by around 10 per cent. This gap increased to 15 per cent on Monday and reached about 25 per cent on Tuesday.
The focus now shifts to the second week. The performance on Friday will play an important role in deciding how far the film can go. If it manages to collect over Rs. 5 crore nett on that day, it could move towards a total of more than Rs. 140 crore nett. With stronger performance, it may even reach Rs. 150 crore nett by the end of its run.
The day wise collections of the film so far are as follows. Previews Rs. 3.50 cr. Friday Rs. 12.00 cr. Saturday Rs. 18.50 cr. Sunday Rs. 22.00 cr. Monday Rs. 6.25 cr. Tuesday Rs. 7.25 cr. Wednesday Rs. 5.75 cr. This brings the total to Rs. 75.25 cr.
Overall, Bhooth Bangla is maintaining a steady pace and its upcoming performance will decide its final box office outcome.
