Sanjay Dutt Unveils Powerful Trailer Of Aakhri Sawal

Sanjay Dutt shared the trailer of Aakhri Sawal, a political drama now scheduled to release on May 15.

The trailer of Aakhri Sawal starring Sanjay Dutt has finally been released. The film appears to focus on some of the most controversial moments in Indian history and promises a politically driven story filled with serious questions and dramatic events. The movie is now scheduled to release in theatres on May 15.

The project has been directed by National Award winning filmmaker Abhijeet Mohan Warang, who is known for his Marathi film Picasso.

Sharing the trailer on Instagram, Sanjay Dutt wrote, “What happens when the truth refuses to stay buried? Watch the trailer of #AakhriSawal — where every answer comes at a cost. Trailer Out Now. Get ready to know the answer on 15th May only in cinemas.”

Soon after the trailer was released online, fans started reacting on social media. One user commented, “King is back”, while another wrote, “Babri Msajid”.

The film was originally expected to release on May 8, but reports suggest that the release was delayed because it is still awaiting clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification. According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, discussions between the makers and the CBFC reportedly took longer due to the sensitive nature of the film’s subject.

A source quoted in the report said, “The nature of the film and its plot is such that the CBFC members are being cautious. The makers have explained to the CBFC committee that their film is based on historical events and records and hence deserves to be released. The discussions between the makers and the CBFC have taken a lot of time. Hence, the producers of Aakhri Sawal felt that it would be wise to push the film to a later date.”

The source further added, “At present, the makers are considering releasing their film on May 15. Of course, this will be subject to receiving the censor certification on time. An announcement on the same can be expected soon once the hurdles are cleared.”

The film reportedly revolves around an important meeting that is said to have changed the direction of the country. It aims to present lesser known aspects of India’s social and political history while exploring themes linked to public service and power.

Apart from Sanjay Dutt, the film also stars Amit Sadh, Namashi Chakraborty, Sameera Reddy, Tridha Choudhury and Neetu Chandra.

Meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt recently also announced a sequel to Khalnayak and revealed its first look on April 24.
