Michael Continues Strong Box Office Run In India With Rs. 64 Crore Total

Michael starring Jaafar Jackson has collected Rs. 64 crore in India and is expected to cross Rs. 70 crore during its fourth weekend.

Michael, starring Jaafar Jackson in the lead role, continues to perform steadily at the Indian box office. The Hollywood musical biopic added around Rs. 1 crore on its third Wednesday, taking its total third week collection to Rs. 12.25 crore in 6 days.

The film’s overall collection in India currently stands at Rs. 64 crore. Trade estimates suggest the movie may close its third week at around Rs. 65 crore. With positive audience response continuing, the film is also expected to see a rise in collections during its fourth weekend. Industry predictions indicate that Michael could cross the Rs. 70 crore mark soon.

If the movie maintains stable collections in the coming days, its final India box office total could fall between Rs. 75 crore and Rs. 80 crore.

Michael has now emerged as the third Hollywood HIT in India this year after Project Hail Mary and The Mummy directed by Lee Cronin. Interestingly, all three films were released within a short period of nearly one month.

Another Hollywood release, The Devil Wears Prada 2, is also performing well in India. While it may not reach HIT status, the film is still expected to end its run as a successful release.

What makes these box office results notable is that none of these films belong to major global franchise driven intellectual properties, which usually dominate Hollywood collections in India. The Indian market has traditionally shown stronger interest in large franchise films and superhero releases.

Trade analysts now believe that 2026 could become a strong year for Hollywood films in India, especially if more unexpected box office successes continue to emerge in the coming months. Several big budget international releases from major franchises are also scheduled to arrive later this year.

The India box office collections for Michael so far are as follows:

Week One collected Rs. 31.25 crore.
Week Two collected Rs. 20.50 crore.
Third Friday earned Rs. 1.75 crore.
Third Saturday earned Rs. 3.50 crore.
Third Sunday earned Rs. 3.75 crore.
Third Monday earned Rs. 1.05 crore.
Third Tuesday earned Rs. 1.20 crore estimated.
Third Wednesday earned Rs. 1.00 crore estimated.

The total collection currently stands at Rs. 64 crore.
