Arshad Warsi is one of the phenomenal actors in Bollywood and has delivered remarkable performances in films like Munna Bhai MBBS, Golmaal, and Jolly LLB. He recently share his opinion about stardom in the film industry. He spoke about the changing dynamics of fame in the era of social media. He believes its all just illusion and not real.
Talking about stardom he synonymized the term with names of four superstars’ of Indian Cinema, asserting to him it means Dilip Kumar, Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Salman Khan. In an interview with Bollywood Bubble Arshad Warsi called stardom a manufactured product.
He was quoted saying, “Unfortunately, stardom today is become (a) manufactured product, it is not real anymore. It’s an illusion. It’s a created and manufactured stuff. Stardom for me is Dilip Kumar, Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Salman Khan. These are stars and they have stardom. They don’t need social media for anybody to know that these people are stars – I think that is stardom, not the followers you have or the followers you brought.”
On the work front, Arshad Warsi will be next seen on screens in Bandaa Singh Chaudhary. He has an exciting lineup of upcoming projects. He joined the Welcome franchise with its third part Welcome to The Jungle which is currently in the filming process. Dhamaal’s next part is also in the shooting process. He also has Jolly LLB 3, Ghamasaan, and Bhagwat in the plan.
