Actress Vidya Balan never ceases to surprise her fans. From playing the role of girl-next-door in her debut film PARINEETA to KAHAANI 2, where she will be playing the role of Durga Rani Singh, the actress has always experimented with different roles. Vidya truly is way different from her contemporaries.
KAHAANI 2 is yet to release but Vidya’s next project is already announced. The actress’s next film will be a dramedy titled TUMHARI SULU, where she will be seen playing the lead character, Sulochana, fondly known as Sulu.
Talking about her role in the film Vidya shared, “Sulu is like that nimbu… you add nimbu for taste or then add it to balance taste; zesty & versatile! I think she'll unleash my naughty side.”
With TUMHARI SULU, Ellipsis Entertainment and T-Series have inked their first deal together. Confirming the collaboration producer Bhushan Kumar said, “Ellipsis is an avant-garde company with an eye for real, relatable and clutter-breaking content.
We are pleased to collaborate with today’s creative and marketing mavericks on this very special film, which will also carry our stamp of unforgettable music.”
Debutant director Suresh Triveni shared, “TUMHARI SULU has been handcrafted for Vidya Balan and to have her as a lead in my first feature is an honour. I look forward to seeing the story come alive as I have lived with it for almost a year now.
I am delighted to have found great producers, Ellipsis and T-Series, for this incredible journey.”
Though we have already seen Vidya in a role of RJ in LAGE RAHO MUNNA BHAI, but after watching her play serious roles back to back in her last few films, it will be nice to watch the versatile actress in this comedy-drama film. TUMHARI SULU is slated to release by the end of next year.
