Siddhant Chaturvedi recently expressed his support for Ananya Panday’s digital debut with the series Call Me Bae. The trailer for the show, which was released to much enthusiasm, has a playful nod to a memorable moment from a 2020 roundtable interview involving both Siddhant and Ananya. In the interview, Ananya spoke about the struggles of being in the film industry, to which Siddhant famously responded, “The difference is jahaan humare sapne poore hote hain, wahi inka struggle shuru hota hai.” This comment became a viral sensation and has now been referenced in the Call Me Bae trailer.
Directed by Collin D’Cunha and created by Ishita Moitra, Call Me Bae follows the journey of a billionaire fashionista, Bae, who must navigate life after being disowned by her family. The series is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment and is set to premiere on Prime Video on September 6.

At the trailer launch, Ananya addressed the reference to the viral interview moment, noting that she and the team had “kind of owned up to it.” Reflecting on the incident, she mentioned that it happened five years ago and expressed her desire to move past it, focusing instead on her work and hoping that people appreciate it.
