Following the recent legal developments involving Puja Entertainment (India) Ltd. and the interim status quo order passed by the Civil Judge (Senior Division)-I, Katihar, Tips Music Limited has now issued an official clarification responding to the matter.

In its statement, the company has asserted that it is the lawful owner of the music rights in question and has disputed the claims made against it. Tips Music Limited has further stated that it remains confident of defending its position before the appropriate courts and will take all necessary legal steps to protect its interests and ownership rights.

Tips Music Limited (“Tips” has become aware of a suit filed by Puja Entertainment (India) Ltd. (“PEIL”) before the Civil Judge (Senior Division), Katihar, Bihar.

While formal copies of the order are awaited, Tips clarifies that it is the lawful owner of the music rights in question, supported by valid and binding agreements between the parties. Tips has openly and legitimately exploited these rights for nearly three decades in full compliance with applicable laws.

The claims made by PEIL are strongly disputed and appear to be malicious, misconceived, and intended to tarnish the reputation and goodwill of Tips. Tips remains fully confident in defending its rights before the appropriate courts and shall take all necessary legal steps to protect its interest and ownership of rights.

Alia Bhatt recently spoke about the need for more inclusive storytelling in Indian cinema during her visit to the Cannes Film Festival. The actress questioned why many Bollywood films are still largely made keeping male audiences in mind and said films should focus more on storytelling rather than targeting one specific gender.

In a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter India, Alia Bhatt spoke about how films with strong female audiences have achieved major success globally. Referring to movies like Barbie, Wuthering Heights and The Devil Wears Prada, she said, “When I look at the landscape, I think we’re in a very fascinating time today… If you take a look at the box office, you’ll see the films that have done phenomenally well: Barbie, Wuthering Heights, and The Devil Wears Prada.”

She further added, “These are a few; I am sure there are way more, and their main audience, perhaps, was women. Women were showing up, watching these films, which have now become massive hits.”

Alia then raised concerns about conversations often heard in Bollywood regarding box office numbers and audience demographics. According to her, there is a common belief in the industry that around 75% of moviegoers in India are men, which leads filmmakers to create content aimed mainly at male viewers.

Speaking about this, she said, “But in India, when we talk about box office and numbers, there is a conversation that comes up pretty often, which is 75% of the movie-going audience is male, so we need to cater to the masses. This conversation comes up quite a bit. I wonder if we are catering just to the men, then what happens to the women?”

The actress also spoke about the importance of making films that appeal to everyone equally. She said, “I am not saying to alienate the men, but why do we have to alienate anyone? Why do we have to cater to one gender? Why can’t we make movies that are gender-agnostic, where the storytelling takes centre stage? So, whether it stars a man or a woman, that should not matter. It is the storytelling that should matter. I’m just hoping we have more of that.”

On the work front, Alia Bhatt will next appear in Alpha alongside Sharvari and Bobby Deol. She will also reunite with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in Love and War directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Reports also suggest she may join Tumbbad 2, although there has been no official confirmation yet.

Margaret Cho just revealed she turned down a role in one of TV’s biggest breakout queer romance series, and according to the comedian, it all came down to fear surrounding ICE and the Trump administration. During a recent appearance on the I Never Liked You podcast, Cho admitted she was offered a role in Heated Rivalry before the show exploded in popularity. But despite loving the script, she ultimately walked away from the opportunity because filming would have taken place in Canada.

Cho explained that she feared crossing the border due to her outspoken political views.

“I’m so vocal about hating ICE and hating this administration,” she said while referencing President Donald Trump.

According to Cho, she genuinely worried she could end up detained if she traveled internationally for work.

“I was like, I will get detained at the border and I will be put in ICE detention if I go,” she revealed.

The comedian said the decision deeply upset her because she believed in the project from the start. Heated Rivalry eventually became a breakout success and helped launch stars Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams into the spotlight.

Cho admitted she struggled with the decision for a long time and sought advice from multiple people before finally declining the role.

“The pilot was beautiful,” she said. “I was like, I want to do this.”

Even after stepping away from the opportunity, Cho continued following the series closely. She revealed she watched the pilot herself and even hosted rewatch parties for the show afterward.

The regret clearly still lingers.

“It kills me,” she admitted.

Cho then bluntly blamed Trump for the situation, saying, “It’s all because of Trump.”

The comedian also shared that after the first season became a massive success, she tried reaching back out to the show’s team in hopes of possibly joining future seasons. Season 2 of Heated Rivalry is expected to begin filming later this year.

Cho has remained one of Hollywood’s loudest critics of ICE policies and the Trump administration overall. Throughout the years, she has frequently used her platform to speak about immigration enforcement, LGBTQ+ rights, and political extremism.

The actress also recently criticized actor Dean Cain over his support for ICE.

Meanwhile, Heated Rivalry continues becoming one of television’s biggest LGBTQ+ romance hits, with fans already heavily anticipating season 2 after the breakout popularity of its debut season.

Barry Keoghan is back at the Cannes Film Festival, and this time he’s bringing a deeply personal indie drama, a growing production company, and even more mystery surrounding his possible return as the Joker in The Batman Part II. The Saltburn actor is starring alongside Riley Keough in Butterfly Jam, director Kantemir Balagov’s first English-language feature, which is opening Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes 2026.

In the film, Keoghan plays the father of a Circassian family living within a tight-knit New Jersey community. The actor admitted it feels surreal stepping into father roles now.

“Crazy. Now I’m the dad,” he joked during his Deadline interview.

The movie centers heavily on family dynamics, culture, and identity, with Keoghan describing it as a “proper European movie set in New Jersey.” He also revealed the project became the first feature involvement for his own production company, Wolfcub Productions.

Keoghan said working on Butterfly Jam reminded him why he fell in love with filmmaking in the first place.

“When it’s an independent movie, you feel the hunger on set,” he explained. “It creates a safeness for you to be vulnerable.”

The actor also praised co-star Riley Keough, calling her energy “raw,” “unpredictable,” and “astonishing to watch.”

One of the film’s standout moments involves Keoghan and Keough dancing together in a kitchen to Circassian music. According to Keoghan, the scene was meant to feel loose and organic rather than perfectly choreographed.

Fans also got a small update about Keoghan’s highly anticipated role as Ringo Starr in The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event, director Sam Mendes’ ambitious four-part Beatles film series.

Although he stayed careful not to reveal too much, Keoghan described the production as “incredible” and said Mendes has created an environment that still feels intimate despite the massive scale of the films.

“It has that indie soul to it,” he said. “I’m feeling super safe to reach and bring forward the most vulnerable truths.”

He also praised cinematographer Greig Fraser and said he has been learning a lot simply by watching the filmmaking process unfold around him.

As for the question fans really wanted answered, whether he’ll reprise his role as the Joker in The Batman Part II, Keoghan refused to confirm anything.

The actor dodged the topic completely, keeping speculation alive about whether his chilling cameo in Matt Reeves’ The Batman will lead to a larger role in the sequel.

Keoghan also reflected on his unusual “animal theme” connection with Cannes, pointing to projects like The Killing of a Sacred Deer, Bird, Butterfly Jam, and now his production company Wolfcub.

“There’s an animal theme with Cannes and me,” he laughed.

Between indie dramas, blockbuster franchises, and one of the most anticipated music films in years, Barry Keoghan’s career just keeps getting bigger, even if he still seems most comfortable in the raw chaos of smaller films.

Good Omens is officially coming to an end, but many fans have been left wondering why creator Neil Gaiman was absent from the production of the show’s final chapter. The beloved fantasy series, based on the 1990 novel co-written by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, concludes with a 90-minute finale released on May 13. While Gaiman helped create the Amazon Prime adaptation and played a major role in shaping its first two seasons, he was no longer involved behind the scenes for the finale.

His exit came after multiple women accused the author of sexual assault and misconduct.

The allegations first gained attention through the 2024 Tortoise podcast series Master before spreading more widely after several accusers spoke publicly in a New York magazine investigation.

One of the women, Scarlett Pavlovich, worked as a nanny for Gaiman and his estranged wife Amanda Palmer in New Zealand in 2022. Pavlovich alleged that while some encounters were consensual, Gaiman also engaged in sexual acts without her consent.

Another accuser, Kendra Stout, claimed Gaiman sexually assaulted her in 2007.

Additional allegations included claims that Gaiman made sexual advances toward women while his young son was present in the same room. Through representatives, Gaiman denied those allegations and called them “deplorable.”

In October 2024, Amazon confirmed that although Gaiman contributed writing to the final Good Omens episode, he would no longer be involved in the production itself.

The planned third season was later scaled back into a single 90-minute finale.

Gaiman publicly addressed the accusations in January 2025 through a statement posted on his website, strongly denying all claims of non-consensual behavior.

“I have never engaged in non-consensual sexual activity with anyone. Ever,” he wrote.

The author admitted he was “far from a perfect person” but insisted he did not accept that any abuse had taken place.

In February 2026, Gaiman addressed the allegations again on Facebook, calling the accusations part of a “smear campaign” and claiming there were emails, texts, and video evidence that contradicted the claims against him.

“The allegations against me are completely and simply untrue,” he wrote.

Despite the controversy surrounding its creator, Good Omens remained highly anticipated among fans thanks to the chemistry between David Tennant and Michael Sheen, who play demon Crowley and angel Aziraphale.

The series originally premiered in 2019 and quickly developed a passionate fanbase, especially after season 2 ended on a major emotional cliffhanger between the two characters.

Now, with the finale officially released, the series closes under very different circumstances than fans originally expected.
