Bollywood veteran Jackie Shroff, known for his candid nature and grounded persona, once again demonstrated his characteristic sensitivity when asked about the ongoing health concerns surrounding legendary actor Dharmendra. While Shroff is admired for speaking his mind, he is equally respected for the polite wisdom with which he communicates—even when addressing uncomfortable situations.

On Saturday, the actor was spotted at the Mumbai airport, where he encountered a swarm of paparazzi eager to capture his reaction. As cameras rushed toward him, Shroff paused to address the growing media frenzy outside Dharmendra’s Mumbai residence. His tone remained gentle but firm, urging photographers to show restraint and empathy.

“Tumlog bohot dhating karta hai… Kisi ke yaha aisa kuch hota hai toh tumlog nahi karna, bhidu… Samajh gaya na baba log?” he said, reminding paparazzi that they would want privacy too if such a situation occurred in their own families. He added that photographers often bring cameras uncomfortably close to people’s faces at sensitive times, a practice he discouraged strongly.

His remarks come amid widespread concerns for Dharmendra’s health, which has prompted an influx of media personnel outside the Deol family home. While fans across the country have been praying for the veteran star’s recovery, several Bollywood personalities have publicly appealed for privacy on behalf of the Deol family.

Filmmaker Karan Johar took to Instagram Stories to express his dismay at the excessive media presence. “When basic courtesy and sensitivity leaves our hearts… PLEASE leave a family alone! They are already emotionally combating so much… This is not coverage, it’s DISRESPECT!” he wrote, calling the situation heartbreaking.

Actress Ameesha Patel echoed the sentiment, urging the media to “leave the Deol family alone at this time” and respect their emotional space. Similar appeals were also made by Madhur Bhandarkar, Nikitin Dheer, and Farah Khan Ali, all of whom stressed the importance of compassion during moments of personal crisis.

Even Dharmendra’s son, actor-politician Sunny Deol, stepped out of the family’s Juhu home to confront photographers about their conduct, emphasising the need for dignity and privacy during his father’s hospitalisation.

Amid the mounting concerns and public appeals, Jackie Shroff’s words stood out for their mix of affection and directness—capturing the industry’s collective plea for sensitivity. As the Deol family navigates this challenging time, many are hoping that the media will heed these calls and allow them the space they need.

A major drug racket uncovered by the Mumbai Police has exposed what investigators describe as a sprawling network extending across India and abroad, allegedly involving several high-profile personalities. According to reports accessed by India Today, the operation was purportedly overseen by Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh—better known as Lavish—who is believed to have coordinated the activities from Dubai, where he currently resides.

Police sources say the breakthrough came after the detention of Salim’s son, Taher Dola, who was brought back from the UAE in August. During questioning, he reportedly provided extensive information about the alleged drug-fuelled parties, including the names of attendees, suppliers, and locations. These early leads prompted investigators to examine digital evidence and financial trails linked to the group.

In remand documents reportedly accessed by India Today, the Crime Branch states: “Further investigation into the said accused No. 05 has revealed that he is organising drug parties in the country and abroad and supplying drugs to those parties.” The document goes on to list several individuals allegedly associated with past events, including actors Shraddha Kapoor, her brother Siddhant Kapoor, Nora Fatehi, Alishah Parkar—nephew of underworld figure Dawood Ibrahim—as well as others from the film, fashion, and music industries.

It is crucial to note that these references reflect investigative claims rather than established wrongdoing. As of now, none of the individuals named have been accused of drug consumption or any criminal activity. The allegations form part of the ongoing probe and are subject to verification as the investigation progresses.

Among those named, Nora Fatehi became the first to respond publicly. Through a strongly worded Instagram Story, she distanced herself from the allegations, writing: “I DONT go to parties… I’m constantly on flights… I’m a workaholic… Don’t believe anything you read!” She further warned against the misuse of her name, stating that doing so “will come with a heavy, heavy price.”

Shraddha Kapoor, Siddhant Kapoor, and their representatives have not yet issued any statements.

Mumbai Police officials say that all individuals mentioned in the remand copy are likely to be called in for questioning to clarify their roles, if any. With digital devices, bank transactions, and international links now under scrutiny, investigators expect further developments in the coming days as they attempt to map connections and determine the nature and extent of the alleged network.

Zarine Khan, wife of veteran actor-filmmaker Sanjay Khan, passed away on November 7 at the age of 81 after battling age-related health issues. Her loss has left the entire Khan family — Sanjay Khan and their children Sussanne Khan, Simone Arora, Farah Ali Khan, and Zayed Khan — deeply grief-stricken. Zarine’s funeral took place the same day in Mumbai, where her last rites were performed by her son Zayed according to Hindu traditions.

A few days after her passing, Sanjay Khan shared an emotional video on Instagram capturing the family’s poignant moment of immersing Zarine’s ashes in the Ganga. The clip shows Sanjay, Zayed, Sussanne, Farah, Simone, and other close family members walking toward the river together. Zayed is seen supporting his father as both struggle to hold back tears. As the ashes are immersed, Zayed breaks down inconsolably, while Sussanne and other family members also weep, overwhelmed by the heartbreaking farewell.

The video ends with a montage of cherished memories of Zarine and Sanjay from their life together. Sanjay captioned the post, “In fond memory of my beloved wife Zarine Sanjay Khan.”

On November 10, the family hosted a prayer meet in Zarine’s honour, attended by close friends and members of the film industry. An inside video from the gathering showed Sanjay, Sussanne, and Zayed visibly emotional as guests paid tribute to the late matriarch. Hrithik Roshan, Sussanne’s former husband, attended the ceremony with his partner Saba Azad. A video of Hrithik recalling Zarine with teary eyes also surfaced online, in which he said, “It has been my privilege to love and to be loved by you.”
