The story begins with the sudden disappearance of a young boy in the quiet town of Baramulla — a disturbing event that shakes the community to its core. Tasked with the investigation is DSP Ridwaan Sayyed, played by Manav Kaul in a career-defining role. Recently transferred to Kashmir, Ridwaan moves into a decaying old house with his family, where eerie occurrences begin to blur the line between reality and the supernatural. As he unravels the mystery, he must also confront haunting secrets from his past.

Bhasha Sumbli stars alongside Kaul as Gulnaar, a woman grappling with her own grief as chaos unfolds. Their performances anchor the film’s emotional depth, even as the story veers into the eerie and unknown.

Directed and written by National Award-winner Aditya Suhas Jambhale (Article 370), Baramulla is produced by Jyoti Deshpande (Jio Studios) and Aditya & Lokesh Dhar (B62 Studios). The film follows their successful collaboration on Dhoom Dhaam.

Speaking about the film, Jambhale shared, “Baramulla is a deeply emotional story elevated by supernatural tension. Kashmir isn’t just a setting — it’s a character.” The film uniquely combines psychological drama, myth, and suspense, offering something rarely explored in Indian cinema.

Romantics Anonymous is one of those shows that quietly wins you over. It may not have the loud, flashy appeal of typical romantic dramas, but it has heart and that’s what makes it stand out. Like many K-dramas, it revolves around two leads who fall for each other without knowing the other’s true identity. But what sets this one apart is how it approaches that concept with a mix of vulnerability, humor, and genuine emotion.

The series dives into themes we don’t often see on screen, especially in romantic storytelling. Both characters deal with psychological struggles, one with social anxiety (socophobia) and the other with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Instead of brushing these off as quirks, the show treats them with care and empathy. You can really feel their awkwardness, their hesitation, and how they find comfort in each other’s company without even realizing how similar they are.

What’s also refreshing is how the show uses cooking, especially chocolate-making, as a metaphor for love and healing. The scenes are visually calming and almost therapeutic to watch. The way the characters connect through flavors and textures adds an emotional sweetness that lingers long after an episode ends.

The cast is another big reason this show works so well. Shun Oguri plays Sosuke Fujiwara, the heir to a confectionery company who struggles with a fear of touch caused by trauma.
