Dennis Quaid Files to End Child Support Payments as Twins Graduate High School

0

Dennis Quaid is seeking to officially end his child support obligations to ex-wife Kimberly Buffington now that their twin children have reached adulthood and completed high school. According to court filings submitted in Los Angeles, the 72-year-old actor has requested the termination of the $13,750 monthly child support payments he has been making for twins Thomas and Zoe. The request is based on the terms outlined in Quaid and Buffington’s 2018 divorce agreement, which reportedly stated that child support payments would conclude once the children completed 12th grade.

Their daughter Zoe graduated on May 23, while son Thomas is expected to graduate on June 3.

In addition to ending the monthly payments, Quaid is also asking the court to prorate a separate annual support provision included in the divorce settlement. Under that agreement, Buffington is entitled to receive additional compensation if Quaid earns more than $1.3 million in a given year.

The actor argues that any bonus payment should only be calculated through the twins’ graduation dates rather than based on his full annual income.

Quaid and Buffington were married for 14 years and had one of Hollywood’s more complicated divorce journeys, filing for divorce multiple times before permanently separating in 2016. Their divorce was finalized two years later, with both parents agreeing to joint legal and physical custody of the twins, who were born via surrogate in 2007.

This is not the first time child support has become a point of legal contention between the former couple.

In 2020, Quaid sought to reduce his support payments, arguing that he spent significant time caring for the children and covered many of their expenses directly. The dispute was eventually resolved, with Quaid agreeing to continue paying support based on what both parties considered the reasonable needs of their children.

Now that Thomas and Zoe have reached adulthood, the latest filing appears to be more procedural than contentious, as it follows the timeline already established in their divorce agreement.

Quaid has often spoken publicly about family and relationships. In addition to Thomas and Zoe, he is also the father of actor Jack Quaid, whom he shares with actress Meg Ryan.

Since 2020, Quaid has been married to Laura Savoie. Despite frequent attention on their 39-year age difference, the actor has repeatedly described the relationship as the happiest and closest partnership of his life.

With the twins now graduating and beginning the next chapter of their lives, Quaid’s latest court filing marks the end of a long-running financial obligation that has been in place since their childhood.

Chand Mera Dil Gets Eid Boost At Box Office In Opening Week

Chand Mera Dil completed its first week at the Indian box office with a total collection of around Rs. 18.25 crore nett. The romantic drama collected Rs. 2.25 crore on Day 7, which was Thursday, showing a noticeable rise in collections due to the Eid al Adha holiday. The film recorded around a 20 per cent increase compared to the previous day.

Directed by Vivek Soni and backed by Dharma Productions, the movie stars Lakshya and Ananya Panday in lead roles. The film had a decent opening weekend but saw lower collections during the weekdays, which is common for many romantic dramas in recent years.

Trade reports suggest that Chand Mera Dil may perform better during its second weekend because there are no major new film releases arriving in theatres this weekend. The movie is expected to benefit from this open run and could cross the Rs. 25 crore mark by the end of its second Sunday if audience response remains stable.

The film also has some time before the release of upcoming movies like Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, Bandar and Peddi, which may later affect its theatrical run. For now, the movie has a relatively clear period at the box office to improve its collections.

In recent years, small and medium budget romantic films have found it difficult to perform strongly in cinemas after the pandemic. Audience preferences have changed, and many films in this genre have struggled to attract large crowds. However, there have been a few successful exceptions such as Saiyaara and Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, which managed to become strong box office performers despite similar challenges.

Industry observers are now watching closely to see whether Chand Mera Dil can maintain steady collections over the coming days and emerge as another surprise success story in the romantic drama category.

The day wise box office collections of Chand Mera Dil are as follows:

Day 1 collection was Rs. 2.75 crore.

Day 2 collection was Rs. 3.50 crore.

Day 3 collection was Rs. 4.25 crore.

Day 4 collection was Rs. 2.00 crore.

Day 5 collection was Rs. 1.75 crore.

Day 6 collection was Rs. 1.75 crore.

Day 7 collection was Rs. 2.25 crore estimated.

The total first week collection of the movie now stands at Rs. 18.25 crore nett at the Indian box office.

Emilia Clarke Opens Up About Game of Thrones, Health Battles and Redefining Success

0

Emilia Clarke is looking back on one of the most extraordinary and challenging decades of her life with a new perspective. In a candid interview with Variety, the actress reflected on her rise to global fame as Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones, the pressure of navigating blockbuster franchises, surviving two life-threatening brain hemorrhages, and ultimately learning to redefine what success means to her.

Clarke revealed that one of her lowest professional moments came after the 2019 Emmy Awards. Despite earning her first Lead Actress nomination for Game of Thrones, she lost the award to Jodie Comer and admitted the disappointment affected her deeply.

Looking back, Clarke says she realized she had tied her sense of achievement too closely to awards and external validation. The experience pushed her to rethink her priorities and focus on projects she genuinely enjoys rather than chasing prestige or public approval.

The actress also spoke openly about the devastating health challenges she faced during the height of Game of Thrones’ success. Shortly after filming the first season, Clarke suffered a brain hemorrhage that required emergency surgery. She later experienced a second hemorrhage after Season 3.

For years, she kept her condition private while continuing to work on one of television’s biggest shows. She explained that surviving those experiences left her struggling with survivor’s guilt and a lingering fear that death was somehow “coming back” for her.

In 2019, Clarke publicly shared her story and launched SameYou, a charity focused on improving recovery and aftercare for people living with brain injuries.

The actress also addressed the mixed reception to some of her post-Game of Thrones projects, including Terminator Genisys, Solo: A Star Wars Story, and Marvel’s Secret Invasion. Rather than viewing those outcomes as personal failures, Clarke says she has learned to separate her own experience making a project from how audiences ultimately respond to it.

Today, Clarke says she feels grateful rather than trapped by the legacy of Game of Thrones. While she was famously unhappy with Daenerys’ controversial ending, she now views the series as a life-changing opportunity that shaped her career and personal growth.

With new projects including Ponies, Criminal, and the upcoming indie film Next Life, Clarke says she is finally in a place where success is no longer defined by awards, ratings, or public opinion.

Instead, she measures it by the quality of the experience itself and the people she meets along the way.

Netflix’s ‘The Crash’ Sparks Outrage As Victim’s Family Accuses Mackenzie Shirilla Of Profiting From Infamy

0

Netflix’s hit true-crime documentary The Crash has reignited controversy surrounding convicted murderer Mackenzie Shirilla, with the family of one of her victims publicly condemning the attention she has received since the film’s release. The documentary has become one of Netflix’s biggest recent true-crime successes, reportedly crossing 39 million views within its first nine days. However, for the families of the victims, the show’s popularity has reopened painful wounds.

Christine Russo, sister of crash victim Dominic Russo, has accused Shirilla of benefiting from the publicity surrounding the case and says the newfound attention is exactly what the convicted killer always wanted.

Speaking publicly after the documentary’s success, Russo said she was furious that Shirilla had become a subject of fascination online.

According to Russo, Shirilla has enjoyed public attention since the tragic 2022 crash that killed Dominic Russo, 20, and Davion Flanagan, 19. Shirilla was 17 at the time and was later convicted of intentionally driving her vehicle into a building at approximately 100 mph.

In 2023, she was found guilty on multiple charges, including murder, and received two concurrent sentences of 15 years to life in prison.

Russo alleges that Shirilla’s desire for attention existed long before the documentary was released. She claims that shortly after the fatal crash, Shirilla was already active on social media and seeking public visibility.

The victim’s family is particularly upset by reports that supporters have allegedly been sending money and gifts to Shirilla while she remains incarcerated.

Russo claims that online supporters have contributed funds through donation platforms and prison commissary accounts, allowing Shirilla access to personal items and additional comforts while serving her sentence.

While these allegations have not been independently verified by authorities, they have intensified calls from the victims’ families for legal reform.

In response, Russo has launched a petition supporting proposed legislation known as “Dom and Davion’s Law,” named after the two young men who lost their lives in the crash.

The proposal aims to modernize existing “Son of Sam” laws, which were originally designed to prevent criminals from profiting through book deals, film rights and media interviews.

Russo argues that current laws have failed to keep pace with the digital age, where social media, crowdfunding platforms, online fan communities and viral documentaries can generate attention, influence and financial support for convicted offenders.

The debate has also sparked broader conversations about the ethics of true-crime entertainment.

Critics argue that documentaries often risk turning convicted criminals into celebrities while leaving victims’ families to relive their trauma. Supporters of the genre counter that such productions can educate audiences, preserve public records and encourage discussions about crime, justice and accountability.

For the Russo family, however, the issue remains deeply personal.

More than three years after the crash that claimed Dominic Russo and Davion Flanagan’s lives, they believe the focus should remain on remembering the victims rather than elevating the person responsible for their deaths.

As The Crash continues to dominate Netflix’s charts, the controversy surrounding the documentary shows no signs of slowing down.

Scooter Braun Says He’ll ‘Never Truly Understand’ Taylor Swift Feud, But Critics Say The History Speaks For Itself

0

Seven years after one of the biggest controversies in modern music, Scooter Braun says he still doesn’t fully understand why Taylor Swift was so upset when he acquired her former record label and, with it, the master recordings of her first six albums. In a recent podcast interview, Braun claimed he barely knew Swift, saying they had only met a handful of times and never had a substantial relationship.

“I legitimately don’t know her,” Braun said, adding that he was surprised by the backlash that followed his 2019 acquisition of Big Machine Records.

But for many fans and industry observers, the source of the conflict was never about whether the two personally knew each other.

The controversy began when Braun purchased Big Machine Records in a deal reportedly worth around $300 million. The acquisition included ownership of the master recordings for Taylor Swift’s first six albums, music she had spent over a decade creating.

At the time, Swift publicly stated that she had not been given a fair opportunity to purchase her masters herself and described the sale as one of the worst-case scenarios she had feared. She also accused Braun of being associated with years of behavior she viewed as hostile and dismissive toward her.

For Swift, the issue was never simply personal. It was about ownership.

Artists spend years building their careers, writing songs, recording albums and developing their identities. The idea that someone else could ultimately control those recordings became a major talking point across the music industry.

That is why many people find Braun’s recent comments difficult to reconcile with what happened.

Years later, saying “I didn’t really know Taylor Swift” does not address the core issue. Critics argue that whether they had a personal relationship is largely irrelevant. The controversy centered on the acquisition of her life’s work and her belief that she had lost control over music she created.

Many fans also point out that Braun went ahead with the acquisition despite knowing Swift had publicly expressed a desire to own her masters. From their perspective, the fallout was never mysterious. The disagreement was about control of an artist’s work, not a personal misunderstanding.

The situation ultimately led Swift to embark on one of the most ambitious projects in music history, rerecording her catalog through the massively successful Taylor’s Version releases.

What began as a business dispute evolved into a movement about artist ownership and creative control.

The controversy also fueled broader discussions about Braun’s relationships within the music industry. Over the years, several high-profile artists who were once associated with him, including Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, J Balvin and others, eventually moved on from his management company.

While departures from management teams are common in entertainment, critics often point to the long list of exits when discussing Braun’s legacy and influence within the industry. Many argue that when so many major artists choose to leave, questions are naturally raised about why.

To be fair, none of those departures automatically prove wrongdoing, and several artists have spoken positively about Braun at different points throughout their careers. However, the pattern has frequently been cited by those who believe the Taylor Swift dispute was not an isolated controversy.

In the end, Swift emerged with ownership of her catalog after successfully buying back her masters in 2025, bringing a years-long battle to a close.

For her fans, that outcome is what matters most.

And for many observers, the feud was never complicated. It was never about whether Scooter Braun personally knew Taylor Swift.

It was about who controlled the music.

Check out Ariana Grande – hate that i made you love me Song Lyrics

I can’t tell you why
But something inside is dancing with fire
Eyes lit like the sky
Turned tears into diamonds, got good at goodbyes

Just know that I will find my way from you
Like flowers from a tomb while you decide who you are
And I can see right through, ooh-ooh, like shadows on the moon
And it’s all bad news
Yeah, I, I, I
Hate that I made you love me
Sorry if I made me your type
Yeah, I, I hate that I made you love me
‘Cause I barely tried
Yeah, I, I, I

What’s happening now?
You studied my crown and borrowed my body
Warm, kissed by the sun, then cold likе the wind
A bee stuck in honey

Know that I will find my way (My way) from you (From you)
I guess it’s kind of cutе how you like me where you are
But I can see right through (Right through), ooh-ooh (Ooh-ooh)
Just don’t eclipse the moon
‘Cause it’s all bad news

Yeah, I, I, I
Hate that I made you love me
Sorry if I made me your type
Yeah, I, I hate that I made you love me (Hate that I made you)
‘Cause I barely tried
Yeah, I, I, I (Ooh, yeah)

I’ve held your projections when you’ve felt so insecure
Tell me, why is it this way?
Why you so hate to see women endure?
Is it really my fault you all gave me your hearts of your own accord?
I don’t really think so

I, I
Hate that I made you love me (You love me, baby)
Sorry if I made me your type
Yeah, I, I hate that I made you love me
‘Cause I barely tried
Yeah, I, I, I
Hate that I made you love me (You love me, baby)
Sorry if I made me your type (Sorry if I made me your type)
Yeah, I, I hate that I made you love me (Ooh)
‘Cause I barely tried
Yeah, I, I, I

Ayy, on gang

Under a silver moon, tropical temperature
I feel my lotus bloom, come closer
I want your energy, I want your aura
You are my destiny, my mantra

I never knew I could see something so clearly looking through my third eye
Never knew karma could be so rewarding and bring me to your light
Maybe this is the beginning of something so magical tonight
Oh, oh, oh-oh, oh

Take me down to the river
Underneath the blood orange sun
Say my name like a scripture
Keep my heart beating like a drum
Legendary lovers (Woo, ayy)
We could be legendary (Ayy, la-la-la-la-la)
Legendary lovers (Ayy, ayy)
We should be legendary (Ayy, ayy, ayy, ayy; la-la-la-la-la)

Hello, baby, ooh
You so m*therf*ckin’ beautiful (F*ckin’ beautiful)
I’m just tryna figure out what you do (Figure out what you do)
I just wanna be so close to you (Be so close to you)
So close like Aladdin where I boom (Yeah)
Come back home and tell me how you do (Do)
Get some money, baby, I’m so proud of you (I’m proud of you)
Fuck what they say, you better not think it’s true (Better not think it’s true)
You got a job interview, hope it goes smooth (We could be legendary)
Come back home and tell me how you do (We could be legendary)
Here’s some money, baby, I’m so proud of you (Legendary lovers)
She gon’ go and get it, that’s my type of bitch (We could be legendary)
She make me turn up for her like Yabba Dabba Doo

Oh, take me down to the river (Yabba Dabba Doo)
Underneath the blood-orange sun (Me and you, break the rules)
Say my name like a scripture
Keep my heart beating like a drum (We’ll be—)
Legendary lovers (I know you love me at my highs)
Legendary (But will you love me at my lows? Legendary lovers)
Legendary lovers (I built this shit brick-by-brick)
We should be legendary (I spent most of my time at a low; oh, take me down)
Take me down to the river
Underneath the blood orange sun (Underneath the sun)
Say my name like a scripture
Keep my heart beating like a drum (Oh baby, legendary lovers)
Legendary lovers (Ayy, ayy, ayy)
We could be legendary, oh-oh (Ayy, ayy, ayy; la-la-la-la-la)
Legendary lovers (Ayy, ayy, ayy)
We should be legendary (Ayy, ayy, ayy; la-la-la-la-la)

Katy Perry And Chief Keef Shock Fans With Unexpected Music Collaboration

0

Pop star Katy Perry and Chicago drill rapper Chief Keef have surprised fans by turning their old online feud into a music collaboration. The two artists recently released a remix of Perry’s Prism track “Legendary Lovers (Save Me),” and the song is now streaming on music platforms worldwide.

The collaboration has caught attention because the artists were once involved in a public Twitter argument back in 2013. At the time, Katy Perry had reacted to Chief Keef’s song online and questioned the track. Chief Keef later responded with controversial and vulgar comments, which quickly became a widely discussed moment on social media.

Years later, the situation has taken a very different turn. In 2014, Chief Keef sampled Perry’s original “Legendary Lovers” track in his song “Save Me.” Over time, that version gained attention online again, especially after clips using the song started trending on TikTok. By April, reports suggested that the track was receiving more than 200,000 daily streams, bringing fresh interest to the music.

The growing popularity of the song eventually led to a new collaboration between the two artists. Fans also noticed Katy Perry and Chief Keef appearing together in matching hoodies while promoting the remix, which added to online discussions around the release.

Social media reactions to the collaboration have been mixed but highly active. Some fans found the pairing unexpected and entertaining, with many joking about Katy Perry appearing like a fan of Chief Keef. Rapper Sexyy Red also joined the conversation online and playfully warned Perry about being around Chief Keef’s crew.

Music listeners have shared different opinions about the remix itself. Some praised the mix of pop music and Chicago drill style, calling it creative and refreshing. Others felt that the newly added verse sounded disconnected from the original track. Despite the mixed reactions, the collaboration has become a major talking point online because of the artists’ history and the unexpected way their old conflict turned into a musical partnership.

The remix also highlights how older songs can find new popularity through social media platforms like TikTok, where revived trends often introduce past music to younger audiences and create fresh streaming success years later.
